As an organization of student leaders living in the residence halls, we are committed to practicing and encouraging excellence in leadership and academics, community service, and recognizing outstanding members in our halls by maintaining an active presence in our communities. We organize community service projects for members and residents to participate in, promote recognition through Of The Month awards (OTMs), and we celebrate accomplishments of the halls and hold an annual Hall of the Year banquet (or HOTY for short) where we honor the achievements of that hall for that year. How can you become a member? NRHH is open to all students who have lived on WWU's campus for at least a quarter and have demonstrated leadership or involvement in campus life, along with a 2.5 GPA. To join, inquire at your Hall Council's info nights or meetings, or apply online at the NRHH website! How can you be more involved? As an official NRHH Representative, you will need to attend all Hall Council meetings as well as NRHH meetings, and remain in contact with the NRHH Vice President! Representatives promote and coordinate the completion of OTM's (Of the Months), and coordinate a Hall of the Year Committee. NRHH membership is not a requirement for this position, only selection by your hall. NRHH is an amazing organization and a great place for leadership opportunities.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Chinese Language Program at Western Washington University provides students the opportunity to learn communicative skills in Chinese, a language spoken by 1.3 billion people, approximately one-fourth of the world population. The program offers courses of Chinese language at the first, second and third-year levels. In addition, several other courses related to Chinese language and culture are offered. Students may choose Chinese as minor or student-faculty designed major. Students who have taken one or two year Chinese are encouraged to study Chinese abroad. Please visit our web site Study Chinese Abroad for more information. If you have any questions regarding the Chinese program, you may visit our other pages: Faculty, Courses or send an email to the coordinator of the program Dr. Janet Xing.
