The Magnolia Hotel, formerly known as the Aquila Court Building and before that as the Sheraton Omaha, is located at 1615 Howard Street in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. Built in 1923, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.AboutDesigned by architectural firm Holabird and Roach for capitalists Chester and Raymond Cook of Chicago, the Aquila Court Building was built in a "U" shape and designed after the Bargello in Italy. The faces of George and Aquila Cook were emblazoned on the front of the building. A mixed-use building from its inception, the building's interior courtyard featured extensive landscape gardening. The original garden design resembled an Italian formal garden with stone paths, pools with goldfish, canals and numerous plants. A four-story building, the original design included court-level commercial space and studio apartments, as well as office space.The building has undergone several major renovations. In 1972 the gardens were removed and completely covered with marble slabs and fountains. In 1996 it was renovated by the Sheraton corporation and in 2006 by the Magnolia Hotels chain.

The CenturyLink Center Omaha is an arena and convention center in the North Downtown neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska. The 1,100,000sqft facility has an 18,975-seat arena, a 194,000sqft exhibition hall and 62,000sqft of meeting space.The complex opened in 2003 as Qwest Center Omaha. It adopted its current name on July 15, 2011, as part of a $22 billion buyout of Qwest by CenturyLink (formerly CenturyTel). All signage, inside and outside, was changed to conform to the new arena name; lighting was also switched (from blue to green). The transition was expected to be completed by August 1, 2011; the outside name changes were finally completed on December 20, 2011.The arena hosts various basketball games, hockey games, professional wrestling events and concerts. The Stabrie Grocery is a building located at 501 North 13th Street in the NoDo area of Downtown Omaha, Nebraska. Built in 1882, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.AboutWhen it originally opened in 1883 the building near Omaha's notorious Burnt District. After originally serving as a grocery, the building later was home to saloons, a grocery wholesaler and the Central Mattress Company factory, which was there for more than 50 years. Today it is the Old Mattress Factory Bar and Grill.
