As the largest college at Morehead State, the College of Science & Technology’s nine academic departments allows you a broad range of subjects to make your primary focus. Within each of these departments, you’ll find numerous chances in the realms of science and technology to turn your specific interests into a promising career. The College consists of nine academic departments: Agricultural Sciences; Applied Engineering and Technology; Biology and Chemistry; Earth and Space Sciences; Health, Wellness and Human Performance; Imaging Sciences; Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics; Nursing and Psychology. The College is also home of the Space Science Center, the Water Testing Laboratory and partners with the University of Kentucky on a Physician’s Assistant program. The College occupies seven buildings on the main campus of Morehead State University as well as a large farm and orchard nearby.

The Little Company, a trademark of the Morehead State University Theatre Program, is a touring troupe that performs a play for schools in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, with the main focus being on the service region of Morehead State University. In addition to the production, The Little Company also conducts workshops targeting the drama core content mandated by the Kentucky Department of Education.

We encourage you to join us for concerts and educational programs aimed at spreading the appreciation of jazz in our community and beyond! The Jazz Studies Program at MSU offers undergraduate degrees in Jazz Studies (B.M. and B.A. in music performance with a jazz studies track) as well as a graduate program (M.M. in music performance with a jazz studies track). Our program is designed for students interested in learning how to perform, compose, arrange, and teach jazz music at a professional level. One of the oldest in Kentucky, the MSU jazz program was developed to prepare graduates for a career in jazz and commercial music. Courses offered include Jazz Improvisation, Jazz Theory, Jazz History and Literature, Jazz Pedagogy, Jazz Arranging, Jazz Ensembles, Jazz Combos, Jazz Keyboard Class, and private applied lessons in your instrument. In addition, jazz studies majors will receive instruction in classical music theory, history, world music, and numerous other offerings which develop well-rounded musicians prepared to succeed in the constantly changing music scene. Located in Morehead, KY, in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, Morehead State University was founded in 1887 and has continued to educate undergraduate and graduate students in this beautiful setting for over 125 years.
