Moe Bar is named for its ancestor, the legendary and truly rockin' Moe's Mo'Roc'N Cafe, but it's just a nice neighborhood bar attached to the live-music showrooms Neumos and Barboza. The aesthetic is vaguely 1970s, with wallpaper of a silvery-mirrored-leaves pattern and framed posters from bygone shows at the old Moe's.

In the winter of 1964, Mario Vellotti emigrated from Naples, Italy to live and work on Mulberry Street in New York City. Mario made his early living tossing pizza and cooking in some of New York's most notorious kitchens; Angelo's, Casa Bella on Mulberry Street and Nanni Al Valletto on 59th Street. Later Mario joined his brother and uncle in the family business, opening their world-famous pizzerias in all five Burroughs, including Sal's on Broome Street, Bensonhurst's J & V and the original Patricia's in the Bronx. Big Mario is in Seattle now...enjoy! "Tanks for coming, God Bless America!" - Mario
Sam’s Tavern started in the1940’s, the original birthplace of Red Robin standing at the corner of Furhman and Eastlake in Seattle. Before they served gourmet burgers, offered bottomless fries, and adding the name “Red Robin”, it was just “Sam’s Tavern” and then “Sam’s Red Robin”. After dropping the name Sam, the rest is history....or is it? Fast forward 70 years later to 2013 the originator “Sam’s Tavern” is reborn. This time it’s in the heart of Capitol Hill off 11th and Pike. Sam’s Tavern is an energetic place to visit on a Friday and Saturday night, but also your “go-to” take-out on any night of the week. We are a burger joint!

Under the muralled gaze of a teetotal-ling City pioneer, guests of The Old Sage enjoy skillfully smoked meats and seafood, crafted by two chefs recognized as some of the nation's best: Brian McCracken and Dana Tough. Using unique, non-traditional smoking techniques, the Chefs draw out delicious flavors. Simple meats, starches and vegetables are revered here. The incandescently lit bar hosts a library of scotch and a rotating selection of artisanal craft beers…which satisfy those less moderate in this city of pioneers.
Our travels to Normandy and Brittany over the years have always left us inspired (and very full). Our thoughts and conversations following these visits routinely center around how we might bring home our favorite bits of the French Atlantic coast. With these thoughts in mind, Sea Creatures welcomed Bar Melusine to the family in fall 2015. Named for the mythical French water spirit, Bar Melusine is Walrus's playful French Atlantic cousin. Melusine's casual, bustling atmosphere, bathed in a sea of greens, provides the perfect back drop for the maritime flavors of Normandy and Brittany. "Re-imagining the flavors of Normandy and Brittany, using ingredients from our corner of the world is so fun! We are thrilled to be serving lamb, meat and vegetables from our very own La Ferme des Anes..." - Chef-Owner Renee Erickson Both raw and cooked seafood, meats, and vegetables accompany a focused and carefully curated wine list, focused on French whites by the glass. Think raw oysters, savory buckwheat crêpes, moules-frites, pré-salé lamb, steak tartare, pork rillons, and gésiers confits. Thoughtful vermouth- and brandy-centered cocktails fill out the experience.

Marjorie triumphantly reopened its doors in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in the spring of 2010. Anchoring the corner of 14th Avenue and East Union with a 40 seat Jewel Box on a beautiful tree lined street, Marjorie has quickly re-established itself with its trademark warmth and hospitality. The reinvention boasts a visible renewal with colorful furniture and a warm steel bar. The turntable in the bathroom entices guest to linger and enjoy the pleasure of old school tunes. Marjorie will delight you with a warm reception, reputable cocktails and amazing cuisine. Originally created in Belltown in 2003, Marjorie pays homage to owner, Donna Moodie’s mother. Following Marjorie around the kitchen, Donna quickly gained respect for “cooking from scratch” with high quality ingredients. The kitchen at Marjorie uses the highest quality of ingredients, supporting local farmers and artisans whenever possible, reflecting the values that Marjorie instilled in her daughter’s youth. The handcrafted cocktails are quickly becoming a reputation building cornerstone of Marjorie. The unique décor, much of it handcrafted, results from a collaboration with SKB Architects, Metal Artists, Carla Grahn and Peter Reiquam and, of course Donna’s unique aesthetic. From the raw silk ceiling pillows to the wood floors and the art on the walls, Marjorie has a one of a kind look that has been lovingly created by hand. The recently added Annex has been a welcome addition. Hailed as the perfect private party spot, the Annex adds additional seating on busy nights at Marjorie.
