Do you ever wish you had a place where you could be you? I mean, really you? Do you wish you could say whatever’s on your mind without being judged? The odds are high that you already have enough people in your life who are trying to tell you what you should do. But do you have someone who truly listens? Sometimes we just need someone who will listen, someone who will understand our situation and help us figure it all out.
Mental Health Services offers an extensive spectrum of care covering all age groups and types of programs. Our behavioral health professionals will provide an assessment during an initial visit to determine which level of care is most appropriate for each individual. We ensure confidentiality is maintained at all levels of care.
Hi, my name is Shawna and I am a Mental Health Counselor (CIT). I just finished my Master’s degree from Capella University. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA, am on the President’s list and am a member of the Chi Sigma Iota, which is an international honor society for counselors. I also hold an addictions certificate through Capella University. I am currently working as an independent counselor at Creve Coeur Counseling Associates in Creve Coeur, which is located about 15 minutes from St Louis. My counseling philosophy is pretty basic. I wish to help others reach their potential, create meaningful change or find their desired happiness. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives and I see myself as a guide who can help you navigate uncertain life situations or create meaningful change. Sometimes you don’t see the answer when it is right there in front of you and just need someone who is unbiased and willing to listen. I also firmly believe that no one is perfect and we are always trying to better ourselves, including myself. As my client, you are a priority and I will work to meet your counseling needs, whatever they are, through a joint counseling relationship. I especially like working with teenagers (10+) but also want to work with adults of all ages. Some of my interests include (but not limited to): Homelessness Addiction Interpersonal problems Self esteem Grief or loss LGBT Community Mental illness Life changes Divorce Mindfulness Meditation Abuse Self harm Hoarding Stress Anxiety Personal growth My work number is: 314.991.0100 ext.708 Work Email: [email protected] Both are confidential and only accessed by me. Please leave your name, phone number you can get reached and a short description of what you need help with. If it's an emergency call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline 1.800.273.TALK (8255)
Healing, through compassion and strength, is at the heart of Greg Pacini's work as a psychotherapist. Greg draws on several theoretical approaches and fundamentally believes that everything each of us needs to know for our own healing is around us - we simply haven't seen it yet. In the safety of the therapeutic relationship, clients gain objectivity in their lives, and eventually create through their own power, a life that feels more comfortable. Psychotherapy is the process of stepping out of the trees to see the forest.
