NIE is an acronym for Newspapers in Education. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch NIE program encourages teachers to use the Post-Dispatch as a textbook in the classroom. Through NIE, students use the newspaper to learn a variety of skills - from math, reading and character education to science, health and nutrition. The Post-Dispatch NIE program has been providing newspaper access to area teachers and students for more than 30 years and provides access to more than 6 million papers and/or ePosts a year.
