Our history has taught us that the Y will always be relevant, as long as we adapt to serve the ever-changing needs of our members. The Gateway Region Y is a nonprofit corporation specializing in health and fitness, work with families, youth camping, values and character building. We are part of the nation's leading nonprofit dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Everything we do is designed to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve health and well-being, and motivate people to support their neighbors and communities. Our Y has 24 traditional branches and two Campus Y student leadership organizations. Our Y also includes YMCA Camp Lakewood and Trout Lodge in Potosi, Mo and the Community Services Y in Illinois. The Carondelet Park Rec Complex is owned by the City of St. Louis and operated by the Y. The YMCA of Greater St. Louis and the YMCA of Southwest Illinois merged in 2015 to become the Gateway Region Y.

Lab1500 is founded on the principle that collaboration drives innovation. It is a cool, comfortable space where seasoned and aspiring entrepreneurs can join together to cultivate ideas, host meetings and attend events. Owners Dan Lohman and Jan Andersen spent countless hours at dining room tables and local coffee shops while developing their first of many business ventures together, Ignition Tank. Like many entrepreneurs they encountered the challenge of finding places in St. Louis where they could meet with business partners and interact with others. In true entrepreneurial fashion, they embraced the need and opened Lab1500, a space where creative minds go to do business. A project of Ignition Tank, Lab1500 takes over the first floor of its headquarters at 1500 Washington Ave. in downtown St. Louis. The nearly 120 year-old building was renovated in 2012 to capture the industrial yet rustic essence of the once abandoned factory. Exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and intricate ceiling tiles make up just a few of the historic elements that were restored and combined with modern-day technology for a creative vibe. Lab1500 is unique in that it’s open to entrepreneurs of all backgrounds and truly promotes interaction. For a minimal fee, members have access to amenities including a beverage bar, WiFi, lounge seating, a resource library, co-working desks, conference rooms and a classroom. Additionally, business-related classes and networking events are hosted at the space on a regular basis. Membership at Lab1500 offers more than just a desk. It gives back to its members by creating a place to be inspired and inspire others.

The Urban League Young Professionals of Metropolitan St. Louis is an auxiliary organization of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, comprised of young urban leaders whose time, energy and talents are dedicated to improving the welfare of St. Louis community residents. The Young Professionals are committed to seeking innovative solutions to persistent social problems, such as economic empowerment, education, civil rights, civic engagement and financial management. Their goal is to form a cohesive group of young professional leaders whom can leverage their collective experience, education, resources and talents towards improving the lives of those in need. The Young Professionals host monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Inc. located at 3701 Grandel Square.

CHIPS operates a free clinic in the City of St. Louis, Missouri staffed by volunteer physicians who care for uninsured and underserved populations from all over the St. Louis metropolitan area. CHIPS also takes blood pressure, glucose and BMI health screenings to at-risk individuals in the community at over 100 outreach and health education events each year. Since 1990, CHIPS has been the place where uninsured and underinsured people in St. Louis can access primary and preventive health care services, regardless of their ability to pay. CHIPS has served clients in the health center from 100 zip codes in Missouri and 20 in Illinois with no government or United Way funding to cover medical services.

Urban League Young Professionals is comprised of young urban leaders whose time, energy & talents are dedicated to improving the welfare of St. Louis area.

We are the city site of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in South County, part of a larger effort to influence the St. Louis region with the gospel. We are Lutheran Christians. We don't believe in walking it alone, or being lone theological rangers. We walk together with about 6,000 other congregations across the country in a church body known as The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Reliant is grounded in the historic Christian faith. We abide by the Confessions and Doctrines of the Lutheran Church. At the center of our faith is the redemptive work Jesus did for us by dying on the Cross and rising from the dead. We strongly hold to the work of God through His means of grace in Holy Communion and Baptism. Reliant Church sees the Scriptures in the Holy Bible as the inerrant Word of God. The Reliant community believes we are called to be children of God and that Christ has come to save all peoples no matter race, color, gender, or past. Humanity is offered a hope and forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ. Reliant Church believes God has given it a commission to reach St. Louis with the Good News of Christ's forgiveness in sins and hope in eternal life. We believe God has blessed our Church with a congregation of dynamic individuals devoted to the spread of the Gospel in a loving, lively, and diverse way. Reliant is a community loved by God and sent by God. We are loved by God in Jesus Christ. This love compels us to be sent. The word "mission" comes from Latin missio, or sent. We go wherever there is need for love, the love of Christ. So far, we have sent people to Bogota, London, San Diego, Seattle, Minneapolis, South Carolina, Texas and Florida. On a weekly basis we are all sent across St. Louis, from South City to Soulard, from the West End to West County, from SLU to Wash U. We pray that the gospel of Jesus continues to go forth, as more people are loved and more people are sent.

Provident offers mental health counseling in five locations across the metropolitan area. In addition, school-based counseling is provided in select schools. Our Life Crisis Services area offers a 24/7 crisis hotline, survivors of suicide support groups for adults and teens, a social media site for young adults who are depressed, and a follow-up case management program for people who have attempted suicide. Our community support programs entail ten afterschool programs in the City and in Jennings.

Food Outreach is a nutrition resource for men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS or undergoing treatment for cancer in 137 zip codes throughout the metro St. Louis area, including various counties in Illinois. Many of these clients are too weak to prepare meals, much less shop for food. Others lose their appetite due to the disease or medication regimen. Still others are undernourished because they are poor or because their disease has made them poor.

These guys are often overlooked by most adopters for various reasons: they might need to be the only 4-legged companion who has your affection, or they might need to meet you a couple of times to be sure they can trust you - but once they do, you'll be their best friend for life! Due to the various quirks these dogs might have, we offer a lifetime of post-adoptive support, including free training (even in-home).

Services are provided to individuals of all ages with the following developmental disabilities: autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and an intellectual disability. Individuals must have been diagnosed with their developmental disability before the age of 18. Individuals are also eligible if they meet the functional definition of a developmental disability as determined by the St. Louis Regional Office.

Since receiving its 501(c)3 status in 1986, Gateway Greening has developed five core programs to address these urban concerns: 1. The Community Gardens Program has helped start and support more than 200 community gardens in the St. Louis area. These gardens have inspired, educated, and reflected the pride of the program's participants, and have often become community focal points and catalysts for neighborhood improvement. 2. The Youth Program supports 75 school and youth-focused gardens in St. Louis, and works to change young lives by involving at-risk youth in sustainable food production and garden-based education. 3. Whitmire City Seeds Urban Farm, located at Market and Pine streets on two and a half acres of land in the heart of the city, is an urban agriculture initiative providing job training and therapeutic horticulture to homeless and underserved individuals. A collaboration of several local organizations, the farm produces and distributes affordable, healthy, and locally grown produce. 4. Urban Roots engages volunteers from gardening, educational, business, and horticultural "green" industries, as well as non-profit service communities, to enhance the downtown St. Louis urban landscape through large-scale seasonal plantings. 5. Hub Gardens are gardens that serve communities and local schools. These hub gardens provide educational opportunities, as well as technical assistance for gardeners. In addition, Hub Gardens provide helpful services such as vegetable gardening workshops, food preparation demonstrations, seedling propagation, and tool lending.

The Little Bit Foundation becomes part of school communities by visiting every week, getting to know the administrators, faculty and students in the schools. More than just a vehicle for donating items, we work one-to-one with students to ensure they feel the respect and dignity to which all children are entitled.
