Marsh Chapel is an interdenominational Christian ministry at Boston University as well as the University's Religious Life Office.
The Memorial Church is a multidenominational Protestant church in the midst of Harvard Yard that serves as a place of spiritual refuge to the entire community. It has been the church for Harvard University since its dedication on Armistice Day 1932 in memory of those who died in World War I, and was a gift of the alumni to the University. Memorials have been added to remember those who have died in the wars since. The Memorial Church has long been regarded as the symbolic center of Harvard's spiritual life, and stands opposite Widener Library as a visible reminder of the historical and spiritual heritage that has sustained Harvard for nearly four centuries. It continues to serve as a space of spiritual reflection and a refuge for members of the Harvard University community.
The MIT Chapel is a non-denominational chapel designed by noted architect Eero Saarinen. It is located on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, next to Kresge Auditorium and Kresge Oval, which Saarinen also designed. Though a small building, the Chapel is often noted as a successful example of mid-Century modern architecture in the US. Saarinen also designed the landscaping surrounding all three.Leland M. Roth included the building in his History of American Architecture, using it to illustrate the contrast between Saarinen's approach and that of Mies van der Rohe . Roth said that "through the sheer manipulation of light and the its focus on a blazingly white marble altar block, Saarinen created a place of mystic quiet."From the outside, the chapel is a simple, windowless brick cylinder set inside a very shallow concrete moat. It is 50ft in diameter and 30ft high, and topped by an aluminum spire. The brick is supported by a series of low arches. Saarinen chose bricks that were rough and imperfect to create a textured effect. The whole is set in two groves of London Planetrees, with a long wall to the east, all designed by Saarinen. The wall and trees provide a uniform background for the chapel, and isolate the site from the noise and bustle of adjacent buildings.Within is an intimate space, stunning in its immediate visual impact. Windowless interior walls are undulating brick. Like a cascade of light, a full-height metal sculpture by Harry Bertoia glitters from the circular skylight down to a small, unadorned marble altar. Natural light filters upward from shallow slits in the walls catching rippling reflected light from the moat; this dim ambient light is complemented by artificial lighting. The chapel's curving spire and bell tower was designed by the sculptor Theodore Roszak and was added in 1956.

On January 1, 2001, historian Drew Gilpin Faust became dean of the Radcliffe Institute (she then became the president of Harvard University in 2007). Radcliffe's history as an institute began much before then: the Radcliffe Institute for Independent Study was founded in 1961 by the President of Radcliffe College, Mary Ingraham Bunting. Following Bunting's vision and her desire to stem the exodus of highly trained educated women from promising careers, the Institute provided stipends as well as access to all of the resources of Harvard University to take up their chosen creative intellectual studies,. The initial funding for the institute came from the Carnegie and Rockefeller Foundations,. The Institute was renamed the Bunting Institute in 1978 in honor of Dr. Bunting and also supported women wishing to pursue advanced degrees on a part-time basis. The Institute was later renamed the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.

EVANGELISM / COMPASSION The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. God is passionate about people and He is passionate about redemption. Evangelism and compassion is one of the simplest ways that we can convey and reveal the heart of God. ACTIVISM All throughout scripture the church is likened to salt, light and even leaven. We are called to be an influencing, pervasive and prevailing agent in society. To that end, we desire to be a voice in culture and we see activism in issues of injustice as a mandate from God.
Holden Chapel is a small building in Harvard Yard on the campus of Harvard University. Completed in 1744, it is the third oldest building at Harvard and one of the oldest college buildings in America.Early historyIn December 1741, Mrs. Samuel Holden, the widow of a former Governor of the Bank of England, offered Harvard a 400 pound sterling donation towards the construction of a chapel on campus, prompted by a suggestion from Thomas Hutchinson. After additional funds were raised, the chapel opened in March 1745. From 1744 to 1772 (except for 1767-68) the chapel housed morning and evening prayers for the Harvard student body, as well as providing space for some secular uses such as lectures. After the 1783 establishment of the Harvard Medical School, the building was used by its founder, John Warren, on a regular basis for 19 years, and intermittently by him and others thereafter until 1825.20th/21st centuryIn the 1930s, Holden Chapel were chosen by the Historical American Buildings Survey Commission as two of the finest examples of early Colonial architecture in MassachusettsFor much of the 20th century, Holden Chapel housed the student offices of the Harvard Glee Club and later the Radcliffe Choral Society and the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, which collectively came to be known as the Holden Choirs. The chapel was remodeled in 1999 to serve as both a classroom and a musical rehearsal and performance space. Though no longer housing the Holden Choirs' offices, Holden Chapel now serves as their primary rehearsal space.
St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, located in Central Square Cambridge MA, celebrates its 105th anniversary in 2013. We are a predominantly Afro-Caribbean congregation moving towards diversity. Many members are in the wisdom generation, and we also serve adults and parents of small children.

Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, we bring you the best in music acts of various genres, hilarious comedians, and whatever crazy events our staff can come up with. We’ve already brought some of your favorite bands and comedians — Tokyo Police Club, Ted Leo, Questlove, Bo Burnham, and Myq Kaplan— just to name a few. We have some wild and fun events like the Adult Spelling Bee, Drag Bingo, and Red Sox Nation. And if you aren’t too shy to get up on our stage, we’ve got events like BU for Show, an open mic night for everyone, Battle of the Bands, and BU’s Funniest Student. What makes BU Central so great? Maybe it’s the intimate setting—with a capacity of only 400, you’re never more than a few feet away from all the action. There’s hardly a bad seat in there (unless you’re behind a pole). Or maybe it’s because you can always count on us to bring up-and-coming stars to perform.
