WashU China Care focuses on fundraising for medical surgeries for disadvantaged Chinese orphans in China as well as raising awareness about the issues they face. We also have two mentorship programs for local adopted Chinese children, Dumplings Playgroup and Big Sister, Little Sister Program, which allow adoptees to learn about Chinese culture as well as build friendships with other adoptees and college-age mentors. In the summer, a group of volunteers travel to Beijing to volunteer in the China Care Home, a healing home that provides care and nurture to orphans before and after surgery.
