"One man's trash is another man's treasure" SCRAP is a creative reuse warehouse and workshop space, dedicated to diverting materials from landfill and into the hands of artists, teachers, nonprofits and others who can creatively reuse them. SCRAP's depot holds treasures galore: fabric, paint, paper, toys, frames, plastic, wood, glass, over half a million pounds each year, with new donations everyday, all at low-cost or even free. SCRAP also hosts workshops, field trips, materials give-aways for teachers, volunteer events and outreach activities to inspire creativity, educate about reuse and support teachers and educators. Anyone can come and donate. Anyone can come and shop. SCRAP is open Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm at 801 Toland Street (enter on Newcomb) in San Francisco.
