Art is crucial to children's development. It is undervalued in our society and underfunded in our schools. I believe it is vital to foster and cultivate creativity in children through drawing and painting. These techniques will allow for individual expression is now more important in our increasingly digital world. Simple artistic activities are integral building blocks of child development. Art has proven to develop the following areas in young children: MOTOR SKILLS LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT DECISION MAKING VISUAL LEARNING CULTURAL AWARENESS IMPROVED ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE S.P.A.R.K. was created to foster that the same passion for art with the next generation. As early as age 4, I was on the floor drawing. That seed was given life by exposure to the arts as I grew up. I fondly remember art classes being the best part of school where I learned the various medium and methods. In addition to technique and form, I want to expose the children to the most famous artists of our time. Living in New York City, we are extremely fortunate to have access to some of the greatest works of art in the world, which will be a part of my unique curriculum. I'm bringing a completely new approach to after school programs as well as Saturday mornings!

The American Musical and Dramatic Academy is a college conservatory for the performing arts located in New York City and Los Angeles, California. The Conservatory offers both Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees and two-year Certificates in Professional Performance. Programs are offered in Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance and Performing Arts.AMDA is an accredited institution of the National Association of Schools of Theatre.HistoryAMDA was founded in 1964 by Philip Burton along with other prominent people from the New York theatre community to provide practical training by professional performers, for performers. Burton was an acting teacher and is best known as having trained and launched the career of his adopted son, Richard Burton. Emerging from the vibrant arts scene of 1960s Manhattan, the school established itself as a part of the New York performing arts community and garnered early support from members of the Broadway theatre elite such as Sammy Davis Jr., Dina Merrill and Carol Channing.By 1970, the school had outgrown its original location on East 23rd Street and moved into a new building on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village. A few years later, further growth prompted another move, this time to the historic Ansonia Building on the Upper West Side. Continued success in the '90s led to the opening of a second building near Lincoln Center, which is now the principal location of AMDA New York.In 2003 the school expanded west by opening AMDA Los Angeles in the historic Vine Tower Building, one block north of the legendary intersection of Hollywood and Vine in the heart of the Hollywood Entertainment District.AMDA's programs are designed to prepare students to work professionally as an actor in theatre, musical theatre, dance, film and television, and stage combat. AMDA is the only BFA-granting performing arts college with campuses in both New York and Los Angeles.

In the 2011-2012 school year alone, A&F’s $5 million endowment provided more than $500,000 to the school and its students in awards, studio support and equipment. Generous donors have made this possible and it is the goal of A&F to grow this endowment further to provide even more assistance, particularly as the school faces further budget cuts and its needs are greater than ever. A&F serves as a resource for alumni to inform them of activities and events in the school, to help them keep in touch with each other and to invite them to reunions.

One of the nine specialized high schools in New York City and the only one dedicated to arts education. LaGuardia was originally two separate schools -- the highly regarded Music and Art High School and the High School for the Performing Arts (the "Fame!" school). The two schools were combined in 1984 in their new home next door to Lincoln Center and renamed the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music and Art and the Performing Arts in honor of Mayor LaGuardia -- whose creation was his idea.

Capturing every moment of your child's life is one of the most rewarding things about being a parent. Their first smile, first word, first step, and even their first creations. As caregivers, we want to have a collection of all of their little accomplishments as keepsakes to look back upon. This might be challenging with the growing number of little drawings or paintings that will accumulate throughout their childhood years. The Well Studio takes great pride in gathering an assortment of your child's art works and creating a unique, personalized children's art book. Our photography team will take pictures of your child's final products and the design team will create a customized artist’s book for your child. We also select certain art pieces and make textile designs that can then be used to create personalized items such as curtains and bed sheets. The textile prints are all done through silk screen printing which are meticulously done by hand. Made with much precision and attention to small details, it is a perfect way to preserve your child's masterpieces.

I love children and pets-- and I love capturing special moments in time, that can't be replicated. Babies and children grow so quickly. I think it is important to document the various stages of their lives. Pets are also an important part of family life--they are amazing companions and always true to themselves. I try to capture the authenticity of both people and animals. I am a unique photographer, in that I shoot Black & White film as well as Color digital. My work has been published in the New York Times, The New York Observer, other periodicals and has been shown in various art galleries in NYC .
