Colorado Anime Fest is a three-day convention at the Denver Renaissance Hotel on February 12-14, 2016. We’re anime fans just like you, so we know there’s a strong desire across the front range for more ways to come together and share our love of all things Japan. We’re already teaming up with our industry friends and other organizations around the world to celebrate Japanese culture in the Mile High City. Our executive staff has nearly 40 years of combined experience putting on more than 85 events across the country. We have the skills and connections to run a first-rate convention, but we also want to hear your thoughts and ideas on what you’d like to see and do. Your Soul’s Movement (YSM) is a life style studio focused on human expression through a healthy mind, body and spirit. Our mission is to interact with and educate the masses by providing an environment that melds professional performance training with an inspired social community connection to the arts as well. Our intent is to grow dance movement appreciation and foster peace in life and cultivate career successes via dance and its peripheral vocational paths. This innovative studio endeavor is the brainchild and lifelong dream of Colorado native, Winifred R. Harris, current Associate Art Director and esteemed alumna of Denver’s premiere dance company, The Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble. Winifred R. Harris has, in addition to being CEO of her family’s business, also had the pleasure of speaking before many groups, Corporations, Small business owners, Entrepreneurs, Artists & Healers, as an experienced certified Life Coach. Ms. Harris started her work some 20 years ago through the art of movement and has found many and new exciting opportunities to combine coaching and movement with many groups and individuals through community workshops, classes and partnerships. YSM’s destiny is one of inclusion. The space itself is over 3800 sq. ft. large. We will be looking for local and nearby burgeoning arts and cultural organizations offering them time on the studio performance calendar as well as rehearsal space. YSM will be seeking out other Studios, Galleries, Theatre companies, Symphonies and the like to consider as Resident Companies. All the while we will be working to increase the range and the scope of our community’s perception and awareness of art and one another. Your Soul’s Movement strives to provide a variety of programs in the performing arts including dance, music, and vocal instruction as well as fitness classes to nurture our community’s minds, bodies and souls. Well-rounded programming provides students with the opportunity to try a variety of classes so as to meet needs and interests as well as provide versatile professional instruction for students looking to pursue professional careers in the arts. Your Soul’s Movement, in recognition of our artistic faculty’s unique training and professional experience, provides a broad approach to instruction so that students are able to experience different styles and techniques, which are focused by way of a school curriculum. The school curriculum is designed to identify clear technical and artistic goals for each level offered within our program. This approach better prepares both recreational and vocational students for a variety of settings they can come to expect outside of their Your Soul’s Movement classes in the industry. Whether students are recreational, vocational or career track oriented, professional instruction in a safe and supportive working environment is offered. The Brush Rodeo is a staple Fourth of July Celebration every year in Brush, Colorado. The Brush Rodeo is a member of the Colorado Professional Rodeo Association and only became a member of that organization in 2005. Before that time, the rodeo was billed as the World's Largest Amateur Rodeo. Although we can no longer claim that top prize, we continue to put on a fantastic rodeo each year.
