We, the partners of 447 Broadway believe that the time is now for a new direction on Broadway; for fresh concepts that will bring new crowds and more diversity to the street. The goal? Stimulate the economy, bring out new entrepreneurs and mark the start of Broadway's return to its legacy status as a major cultural and musical destination for tourists and locals alike. We seek to lead this change with the introduction of a completely redesigned and newly branded upscale happy hour lounge and Top 40 dance club at 447 Broadway. Proudly announcing, “HUE,” a new lounge and dance club which promises to bring energy and excitement to the block, adding to the wave of fresh faces enveloping the entire neighborhood. It has started at Tosca's, The Comstock, Devils Acre, Doc’s Lab (and the future ChinaLive/Box Theatre) on Columbus to the west, and The Battery and the soon‐to‐be Teatro Zinzani to the east. HUE aspires to provide a new destination for the thousands of young urban professionals ages 21 ‐ 35, now working and playing in the Financial and in SOMA, flooding San Francisco with spending and activity not seen since the days of the Gold Rush. HUE will target this demographic with a newly remodeled venue divided into an upscale “street friendly” happy hour lounge and an intimate dance club showcasing live music, DJ led sets, and dancing. HUE, is a talent‐driven destination venue which will attract it’s targeted demographic through an intense focus on musical programming. The format is Top 40, Pop, House and Electronic Dance Music with offerings ranging from local singer‐songwriters and budding DJ’s in the lounge, to regionally and nationally known DJ's, live track performances by trending artists, and the occasional band in the dance club. House DJ’s will be under contract to create the target environment and digressions from format will not be tolerated. HUE will distinguish itself from its competitors through its superior musical offerings. The talent buying team will be led by partner Bennett Montoya; an industry veteran with more than 12 years in the field. Bennett will dedicate himself, full‐time, to curating a program specifically targeted to the desired demographic – a new, more gentile crowd. HUE’s principal marketing partner will be 99.7 FM, which speaks directly to this demographic through a blend of Top 40 hits culled from the Billboard charts. An in‐house promotional team will support this effort by promoting HUES’s brand and message through all appropriate social media channels as well as standard print media, radio and ticketing agencies. In addition, the partners and consultants at HUE hope to engage the other clubs on the street as part of a larger effort to diversify the entertainment offerings of Broadway. HUE's musical format is best typified by the artists below. Some of these artists will be booked for special appearances, most will be covered by our local singer‐songwriters, and their music will be played over the sound system.

The Golden Dragon massacre was a gang-related shooting attack that took place on September 4, 1977 inside the Golden Dragon Restaurant, located at 816 Washington Street in Chinatown, San Francisco, California. The five perpetrators, members of the Joe Boys, a Chinese youth gang, were attempting to kill members of the Wah Ching, a rival Chinatown gang. The attack left five people dead and 11 others injured, none of whom was a gang member. The perpetrators were later convicted and sentenced in connection with the murders.MotiveThe attack was motivated by a longstanding feud between two rival Chinatown gangs, the Joe Boys and Wah Ching. The assassination attempt was retaliation for the death of Felix Huey (Chinese: 許非力), a 16-year-old Joe Boys member who was killed in a shootout with the Wah Ching in Chinatown's Ping Yuen (Peace Garden) housing project (Chinese: 平園住宅房屋大廈) on 4 July 1977.ShootingAt 2:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time on the day of Sunday, September 4, 1977, Joe Boy gang member Tom Yu was informed by phone that members of the rival Wah Ching gang were present at the Golden Dragon restaurant in San Francisco's Chinatown (Chinese: 三藩市華埠金龍大酒樓). Chester Yu, Curtis Tam, Melvin Yu, and Peter Ng, all members of the Joe Boys (Chung Ching Yee) gang, took firearms and ammunition from a closet in a friend's home in Pacifica, where they had been staying during the weekend, and drove to the restaurant in a car stolen earlier that evening by Peter Cheung. Forty minutes later, at 2:40 a.m., Chester Yu parked the stolen car near the Golden Dragon. Armed with a .45-caliber Commando Mark III rifle, two 12 gauge pump-action shotguns, and a .38-caliber revolver, Curtis Tam, Melvin Yu, and Peter Ng donned nylon stocking masks, and entered the restaurant, looking for members of the Wah Ching. About 100 people, many of whom were tourists, were present at the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

It is adjacent to the Transbay Transit Center site and located on the same block as 100 First Plaza, 555 Mission Street, and 101 Second Street.HistoryIn 1984, a partnership called Bredero-Northern filed an application for a tall, 23-story office building. The Environmental Impact Report was certified in 1986, but the project was subsequently withdrawn by the developers and never built. In 1999, a new sponsor called DWI Development, Inc. proposed a 22-story, approximately tall building, which was approved in April 2000. Following the dot-com crash, Hines Interests Limited Partnership took over the project and in 2002 demolished the existing structures and built a temporary parking lot until the economy recovered. With the office market slow to recover, the site was sold in 2003 to Monahan Pacific for $19.2 million, with plans to switch the development to condominiums. In 2005, the site was approved for a 35-story, tall building containing up to 273 housing units. However, by 2006, citing an "overheated" residential real estate market, Monahan Pacific sold the development site to Beacon Capital Partners for $30 million, who changed the plans back to offices.

Washington Square is a park in the North Beach district of San Francisco, California, and is one of the city’s first parks, established in 1847. A popular destination for visitors and locals alike, this lively urban oasis is bordered by sidewalk cafes and restaurants such as Mama's (restaurant) and the Liguria Bakery as well as the Sts. Peter and Paul Church. The Square is a natural community gathering place with a long and fascinating history, hosting festivals, free movie nights and other special events throughout the year.HistoryJasper O’FarrellWashington Square Park, now the heart of North Beach, has been many things over the years. Juana Briones grew potatoes and raised cattle here, before Jasper O’Farrell laid out San Francisco’s street grid in 1847, and designated this block a city square. Later, neglected by the city, it was used as an unofficial dump bordering a cemetery. Improvements came slowly, but by the 1860s, it was used for Fourth of July celebrations, and later the square hosted Columbus Day celebrations and Italian festivals.Originally, it was a complete rectangle, all the way to Powell Street. But in 1873-1875, the City built Columbus Avenue, then known as Montgomery, cutting through the Square. The avenue was built, evidently, because business and banking interests in the Financial District wanted greater interaction with North Beach, which was isolated, geographically, by the hills, the Barbary Coast, and Chinatown.Ben FranklinThe Base of the statue is a Temperance fountain donated in 1879 by Temperance crusader Henry D. Within the tape compartment, which becomes his chest in robot mode, he stores a variety of Decepticon spies, all of which take the alternative form of a microcassette. These spy characters include Ravage, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Rumble, Frenzy, Slugfest, and Overkill, all of whom are under Soundwave's command in the original television series. Squawktalk, and Beastbox were additional cassette characters under Soundwave's control in the US toyline, who were never shown in the cartoon.
