SF80 is San Francisco's private flex space and event venue located in the city's Design District. The San Francisco Federal Building is an 18-story, 71.3m building at 90 7th Street on the corner of Mission and 7th streets in the South of Market neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The building was designed by the Morphosis architectural firm, as a supplement to the Phillip Burton Federal Building at 450 Golden Gate Avenue. Thom Mayne of Morphosis designed the building using a juxtaposition of gray concrete walls, perforated metal panels, and custom, faceted wood ceilings. The building was expected to be completed in 2005, but construction issues and delays pushed the project completion to 2007.The building was designed to be a 'green' building consuming less than half the power of a standard office tower—an indication of how building design can help slash emissions of greenhouse gases. Utilizing natural light to illuminate 80% of the building helped it achieve worldwide recognition as the first Federal Building to be certified under the USGBC's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) criteria. Additionally, it was the first naturally ventilated office building on the west coast since the advent of air conditioning.The building features some elevators which stop on every third floor to promote employee interaction and health. Users of the building exit the elevators and walk either up or down one floor via stairs. There are, however, also elevators which stop on every floor for users unable or unwilling to negotiate stairs.

the good will as-is san francisco is a store that has offered a unique shopping experience to the most die-hard shoppers for the past decade and a half... the majority of the patrons are regular customers, although varying in frequency, whom have persevered the harsh elements in an exquisitely gruesome environment wherein one might never be sure what they will unveil as their exploration through the inventory that is "not rack ready" and unable to be sold in the retail stores... since the termination of the initial manager Sheldon the store has been in a constant state turmoil due to foolish changes made by unqualified persons as a result of managerial changes in the corporate office shortly following the founding managers dismissal... and now we have lost the one link that was able to hold things together sheryl who was constantly trying to maintain the infrastructure of the as-is despite the new managements inability to have an honest understanding of what the store was which had resulted in what the store is now... lifeless and without any of the magical properties that were so prominent for the first decade and well into the second of the stores existence... and in just of couple of years we have seen a spiritual mecca as well as a place of lucrative financial importance on many different levels decline into a place of frustration and broken spirits having lost its unique edge and at times overwhelming output of merchandise... as well the core of its very soul... i am hoping that there really are enough people who feel the same way as myself and are willing to voice their thoughts... if i can provide proof that enough people have been affected by the changes i guarantee that it will be recognized by those who matter and are in control now... they have so far appeared to be honestly looking for input and have listened to what they have heard thus far but it is basically from a very small faction which is completely biased and by broadening their insight we can hopefully get back our store...
Soundwave is the name of several fictional characters appearing in various Transformers franchises. His most famous transformation is that of a microcassette recorder.The last movie appearance of Soundwave was Transformers Dark of the moonTransformers: Generation 1Soundwave is one of the most recognizable characters from the original Transformers line. He had an alternate mode - a microcassette recorder - and possessed a distinctive monotone, computerized voice.Soundwave is able to detect and jam transmissions across the entire energy spectrum, a talent that makes him suited to his position as Decepticon Communications Officer. Additionally, he has a photographic memory thanks to the vast data storage capacity of the magnetic disks in his chest compartment, and he is armed with a shoulder-mounted laser cannon and hand-held concussion blaster. Soundwave is physically strong compared to most Transformers. His alternative form - which involves an apparent loss of mass - is that of an Earthly microcassette deck. Within the tape compartment, which becomes his chest in robot mode, he stores a variety of Decepticon spies, all of which take the alternative form of a microcassette. These spy characters include Ravage, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Rumble, Frenzy, Slugfest, and Overkill, all of whom are under Soundwave's command in the original television series. Squawktalk, and Beastbox were additional cassette characters under Soundwave's control in the US toyline, who were never shown in the cartoon.
The SHN Orpheum Theatre is a performance venue located at 1192 Market at Hyde Street in the Civic Center district of San Francisco, California. The theatre first opened in 1926 as one of the many designed by architect B. Marcus Priteca for theater-circuit owner Alexander Pantages. The interior features a vaulted ceiling, while the facade was patterned after a 12th-century French cathedral. The Orpheum seats 2,203 guests. In 1998, there was a $20 million renovation completed to make the Orpheum more suitable for Broadway shows after a previous renovation in the 1970s. The Orpheum is a locally designated San Francisco landmark as determined by the San Francisco Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board.The theater has hosted a number of Broadway shows, and from April 30 to May 4, 2007, hosted Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and was recently home to a two-year sit-down production of the musical Wicked from January 27, 2009, through September 2010. The Grateful Dead gave six performances here in 1976: July 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 18.Productions that were staged at the Orpheum prior to opening on Broadway have included Bring It On: The Musical (2011-2012), Evita (1979), Mama Mia! The Metreon is a shopping center located in downtown San Francisco at the corner of 4th Street and Mission Street. It is a four-story 350,000 square foot (33,000 m²) building built over the corner of the underground Moscone Center convention center. Metreon opened on June 16, 1999, as the first of a proposed chain of Sony "urban entertainment centers", aggregating dining, gaming, music, exhibitions, shopping, and movies. Sony intended the ambitious 85 million dollar project to be not only a theme park and gallery for Sony products but also a way to reinforce a sophisticated image for the Sony brand.In 2006 Metreon was sold to Westfield, a mall developer, and it was refashioned as a food-oriented mall. In 2011, with few exceptions, remaining businesses in the mall were closed. Westfield began a major renovation with an emphasis on dining, including Target Corporation creating a large downtown department store that now takes up the second floor. In April, 2012, the Westfield sold the Metreon to Starwood Capital Group. Westfield currently continues to be responsible for management.HistoryThe Metreon's original attractions included a movie theater including both standard and IMAX screens, a multimedia edutainment presentation involving audio-animatronics and 3-D film based on the famous book The Way Things Work by David Macaulay, a play area for young children based on Maurice Sendak's popular children's book Where the Wild Things Are (sharing a floor with an In the Night Kitchen themed restaurant), and an arcade and bar, the Airtight Garage, based on French comic artist and graphic designer Jean "Moebius" Giraud's graphic novel of the same name and featuring all original games.

The Supreme Court of California is the court of last resort in the courts of the State of California. It is headquartered in San Francisco and regularly holds sessions in Los Angeles and Sacramento. Its decisions are binding on all other California state courts.CompositionUnder the original 1849 California Constitution, the Court started with a chief justice and two associate justices. The court was expanded to five justices in 1862. Under the current 1879 constitution, the Court expanded to six associate justices and one chief justice, for the current total of seven. The justices are appointed by the Governor of California and are subject to retention elections.According to the California Constitution, to be considered for appointment, a person must be an attorney admitted to practice in California or have served as a judge of a California court for 10 years immediately preceding the appointment.To fill a vacant position, the Governor must first submit a candidate's name to the Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation of the State Bar of California, which prepares and returns a thorough confidential evaluation of the candidate. Next, the Governor officially nominates the candidate, who must then be evaluated by the Commission on Judicial Appointments, which consists of the Chief Justice of California, the Attorney General of California, and a senior presiding justice of the California Courts of Appeal. The Commission holds a public hearing and if satisfied with the nominee's qualifications, confirms the nomination. The nominee can then immediately fill an existing vacancy, or replace a departing justice at the beginning of the next judicial term.
