Throughout the Festival music resonates from every corner of Downtown Burlington — from the region’s premier performing arts facility, the Flynn Center, to the Church Street Marketplace stages, to Waterfront and City Hall Parks, to neighborhood clubs and restaurants. This 10-day event has become a tradition, a chance for the community to revel in jazz’s spectrum of different forms and an opportunity for fans to learn from and meet the world-renowned artists who have inspired them for years.

We are an all-custom tattoo and body piercing studio, located on Burlington's Church Street Marketplace. Our talented crew has more than 50 years combined experience in the tattoo industry. We are state licensed and inspected, although we go beyond state and federal requirements for cleanliness.

The Blue Cat is Burlington's favorite steak house. Known for its extensive wine list and both classic and contemporary cuisine, it is sure to please. But the food and drink are not the only treasures the Blue Cat has to offer, but a lively community as well- the committed, friendly servers, the eclectic clientele always ready to meet someone new, and the management, Mari Asha and Ozzy Giral, who make the space feel like a home away from home. The Blue Cat has Burlington's only "grown-up" bar, peopled with artists and professors and wine lovers of the world, and there's always room for a few more.

The Film House, located at 60 lake Street, is available to rent for film screenings, large meetings, conferences and presentations. It is equipped with a 30' screen, digital projector and smart podium system, Dolby surround sound, and seating for up to 250 people.

We are located on the lovely waterfront of Burlington in the JDK building on the bottom of Maple Street (#47, suite 211 to be exact!) Parking is directly behind the building in spots #37-41, labeled accordingly. To get to the lot you have to go around the back of the building, around the waterfront diving center and all that business, and go down the first row to the right and continue to the far right corner of the lot. The main entrance of the building is on Maple St. through Maglianero cafe/JDK Gallery and up the elevator labeled HELLO you will then find us on the second floor! We are currently CASH ONLY please, and for tattoos requiring involved drawing we often take deposits to make an appointment. We DO NOT tattoo minors, no one under 18...and no, not even with a parent's consent. Don't worry though, it's worth the wait! Thank You!

Film organization presenting an annual film festival and other ongoing film series celebrating the best of independent films from the US and around the world and showcasing a juried selection of Vermont filmmakers.

The Russian word "iskra" translates as "the vital spark," symbolizing the inner spiritual spark that ignites change. The Iskra Print Collective is a nonprofit community space dedicated to the practice, understanding, and appreciation of the printmaking arts. The studio collaborates with artists on small- and large-scale printing projects and engages the broader creative community by hosting open-house exhibitions and educational and informative workshops. Iskra believes in the power of print to communicate, influence, and inspire.

Where is UVMtv located? UVMtv is in a new location in the first floor of Billings right below Cook Commons. Do I need any experience? Absolutely not. Here at UVMtv, we encourage anyone and everyone to join and participate in our student-run organization. No prior involvement in television is needed. We have a dedicated and well-trained staff willing to teach our members about all facets of television production. We welcome all types of people with any amount of training. What is the time commitment? The time commitment at UVMtv is completely up to its members. Whether they work one show or six shows, behind-the-scenes or in front of the camera, UVMtv encourages its members to find what availability they have, and then work with us accordingly. There are multiple opportunities for students to get involved with our station, and while we certainly provide each member with the proper tools necessary to be successful in the television industry, it is ultimately up to them to continue their growth with UVMtv. How can I become a member of UVMtv? This one is easy: Just email us at [email protected], or attend one of our general meetings each Sunday night. We ALWAYS welcome new members, and are more than willing to help you get on board. If you would like to join UVMtv, contact us today! Can I start my own show? Absolutely. There is a specific pilot approval process, including pitching the show to the Executive Board, which generally answers most of the questions that a prospective producer might have about making their TV dream a reality. All you have to do is email our Program Directors, Cam or Melisa, [email protected] or [email protected], with your thoughts and ideas. There is a lot of flexibility for getting a show started, but it all hinges on the commitment of the show’s producer to see the final product put together. Can I work with more than one branch of UVMtv? Definitely. We encourage all of our members to get involved with any and all branches with which they have interest. How soon will my production be online? This question does not have a specific answer. If you attend meetings, pitch your show idea, and display a certain level of commitment to your production, it should not take you long for you to gain an opportunity. Can UVMtv help me get an internship? It sure can! Many UVMtv members have used their experiences and networking skills learned here to obtain internships with television stations and production companies nationwide. Although we are not primarily an internship placement organization, the skills that our members develop while working with UVMtv help them understand what it takes to be successful in the television industry. Who are our viewers? Our viewers mainly consist of UVM students and the Burlington community. Since we are now solely an internet-based TV station, our viewership potential is worldwide.

We offer two-hour cruises three times a day aboard a traditional gaff-rig sailing sloop, departing from Burlington, Vermont from mid-May through mid-October. Our stout and sturdy vessel, the “Friend Ship,” provides an intimate experience for up to 12 passengers during public tours, so there is good opportunity for conversation and answers to your questions about the lake and its rich history. Bring your own lunch and drinks, alcoholic or otherwise. You can also reserve the ship for your private pleasure, such as birthdays, reunions, team retreats, graduations celebrations, wedding proposals, or wedding receptions. TOUR DESCRIPTION Both tours start at our shop at 277 Pine Street in downtown Burlington. After viewing a 10 minute training tape our staff will provide hands on training with each individual until all guests are confidently operating their Segway. Then it’s off on the tour. THE ONE HOUR TOUR The One Hour Tour begins at Perkins Pier, the birthplace of Burlington, and proceeds up the bike path to ECHO and the boathouse, Waterfront Park and the fishing pier. Witness breathtaking views of the Adirondack Mountains from high on the bluff at Battery Park. Our historical narrative will take you from the birth of Burlington in 1783 to the present day. THE TWO HOUR TOUR After the tour of the waterfront described above we proceed up College Street into downtown Burlington visiting the birthplace of Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream, the Church Street Marketplace and UVM before returning to our shop via Main Street.
