The first record of cocktails being served at 3936 30th Street was the opening night of Club Belvedere, in 1948. Just a few years later, The 1956 San Diego edition of Polk’s Business Directory in shows the location as The Office. Fast-forward to 1983, George Scolari bought & personalized his new bar, calling it Scolari’s Office. Scolari's Office became a popular neighborhood bar and later a famous/infamous punk rock venue known all across the United States. For the record, it was in June of 2008 that the major renovation was completed & Scolari’s Office became The Office once again. The physical & cultural landscape of the 9-5 'daily grind' or 'rat race' has changed in just the last decade. With smart phones, laptop computers & WiFi- we’ve adopted ways to be productive anywhere, anytime. The typical office as portrayed in movies & television is not-so-typical anymore...thinking outside the cubicle is to be expected (The Office has free WiFi & places to power up). We can all agree that we've imagined this scene: kicking our feet up in the boss's office, sitting in a leather throne behind a walnut desk, cocktail in hand (cue AMC's hit show Mad Men). Ray at Night is San Diego's longest running monthly art walk. Come and enjoy new art by local and nationally known artists at the over 25 gallery and business venues. The walk happens on the second Saturday of the month, and includes more then 30 Art Galleries and Participating Business' in North Park.

The San Diego Art Department opened its doors in 2003. We are located on Ray Street in the heart of North Park Arts District. SDAD is a non-profit organization with a membership base of local artists, art enthusiasts, and the community. Our team of instructors offer combined teaching experiences of more than 100 years, with exhibitions in galleries and museums from around the world. “The Complex" is a Hip Hop Dance & Fitness Training Facility in San Diego, California that was created to teach the art of Breaking, Popping, Locking, House, Urban Choreography, & Break Fit. The idea of “The Complex" sparked when local standouts, such as Cros1, Eddie Styles, EraNetik, Lancer, & RoxRite, came together to discuss about opening up a dance studio in San Diego, CA. A dream they all had growing up as bboys, because they would get over looked and unaccepted by various traditional dance studios, community centers, and public locations. They wanted to have a place where bboys, just like them, will always be welcomed. After finalizing the idea, they then asked three of their close buddies to assist them on this project, Shyism, RawKen, & Felix. With the help of Dave Ventura, owner of Und1sputed North Park, The Complex partnered up with Und1sputed to turn the gym into not only a "Fight" gym, but also a Hip Hop Dance Training Facility. You can best describe the facility as a place that teaches the art of fighting and the art of hip hop dancing all under one roof. The Complex hopes to spread the authenticity and positivity of Hip Hop culture and dancing to the community and inspire the youth.
