On TV, you'll see pro golfers swinging away in beautiful courses all over the world. Sometimes the tournaments are on the coast or near a mountain range, but it never really gets more interesting that. What if golf could take you to different places, perhaps to the middle of an earthquake, in a labyrinth or even 20,000 leagues under the sea? Urban Putt is that mini-golf experience. Inside this historic building lies a high-tech 14 hole golf course, designed by local designers, artists and engineers to create an experience that is equal parts Jules Verne, Rube Goldberg, Exploratorium and Maker Faire. Putt through an earthquake, or navigate a maze, or guide your ball onto a 11-foot-high Archimedes screw and listen as it bounces off a battery of drums, cymbals, and bells. At Urban Putt, imagination gets free rein. We applied that same imagination and talent to our food, creating award-winning takes on traditional American favorites, and sticking local to source the best ingredients. Our drinks menu is just as wondrous, with a wide selection of imaginative combinations and traditional deliciousness. Her hold is filled with experiences and, despite her name, her memory is strong. She remembers every undulation on the dance floor, every scream, every solo, every laugh and tear, and every shout for encores.

The San Francisco Bay Area Carnaval season begins in February as the great Western hemisphere Carnaval celebrations are concluding. The four Carnaval Cities with the greatest influence and presence in the San Francisco Carnaval are the Brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador as well as Port of Spain, Havana, Cuba, Trinidad and Oruro, Bolivia. The Mission District, San Francisco, California since the 1950s, has been a metro center for the many different Spanish speaking populations of Latin America and these groups will often enter a group or Carnaval contingent in the parade. Carnaval or Mardi Gras is best seen as a spring festival celebrating the rebirth of life and thus it is a universal festival celebrated by all cultures as well as the first festival. Besides the strong American hemisphere presence in the parade there are generally Carnaval groups from the Philippines, India, China, Middle East and Africa.

Precita Eyes Mural Arts Center, established in 1977 and currently located in San Francisco's Mission District, is a multipurpose community based arts organization that plays an integral role in the city's cultural heritage and arts education. One of only three community mural centers in the United States, the organization sponsors and implements ongoing mural projects throughout the Bay Area and internationally. In addition, it directly affects arts education in the San Francisco Mission District by offering four weekly art classes for children and youth (18 months through 19 years) and other classes for adults. These classes and community mural projects enable children, youth and adults to develop their individuality and confidence through creative activities and to experience unifying, positive social interaction through collaboration at an affordable and low/no cost.
Mission City Swing is San Francisco’s only weekly West Coast Swing venue, offering classes and social dancing in a fun and friendly environment. We aim to create a space where: * people of all ages, skill levels, and walks of life feel welcome and included * there is a supportive environment for getting better at West Coast Swing * a variety of music for West Coast Swing is provided * ego and selfishness are set aside for fun and community Mission City Swing aspires to foster an inclusive and cohesive community of West Coast Swing dancers in San Francisco and to raise the quality of dancing throughout the Bay Area through instruction and social dancing. We offer an Intermediate WCS class at 7:00pm and a WCS Fundamentals class at 8:00pm, followed by dancing from 9:00pm until 11:30pm.
