The Greater Houston Association for Infant Mental Health (GHAIMH) is an affiliate chapter of the Texas Association for Infant Mental Health (TAIMH) and is dedicated to supporting the healthy emotional development of infants, toddlers, and their families. GHAIMH is a local organization whose mission is to increase awareness of the critical importance of the first three years of life, support conditions that enhance the quality of infant and toddler/caregiver relationships, advocate for policies and practices that support the healthy development of young children, and educate the birth-to-three workforce in best practices.

The Washington Avenue Arts District is the newest officially recognized cultural district in Houston. The neighborhood is widely recognized as a vibrant cultural destination, and proudly boasts the highest concentration of working artists within the state of Texas. Already, the Washington Avenue Arts District is home to three converted warehouse studio buildings which house hundreds of artists and creative entrepreneurs, as well as an active theater lab and vast amounts of exhibition space. The area is also home to many artists’ residences, studios, and institutions such as Crockett Elementary, an award winning fine arts school and MECA, a multicultural arts education center. The goal of the Arts District as an organization is to promote and protect the vibrant creative community by highlight the area’s cultural offerings, programming initiatives & creating a destination identity for the neighborhood.
The Independent Manchester United Supporters Group meets every United match day at the King's Court in East Downtown Houston. It is a group that is non-profit in any way at all, and meets to watch matches, share the camaraderie, banter, and conviviality of all, and support Manchester United. It is a friendly group and each year we have a trip over to the Theatre of Dreams which takes in a match, but also on the Friday evening before, hosts a Dinner which one of the ex-players attends and speaks.
