Zuni Café is a restaurant in San Francisco, California. Named after the Zuni tribe, it was established in 1979 by Billy West. In 1981 he hired Vince Calcagno as the manager, who became a business partner in 1987. West and Calcagno hired chef Judy Rodgers (formerly of Chez Panisse) in 1987. Billy West died on July 1, 1994; Calcagno and Rodgers went on to become co-owners. Zuni Cafe, with Rodgers at the helm, won the James Beard Foundation Award for 'Best Chef: Pacific' in 2000, 'Outstanding Restaurant' in 2003, and 'Outstanding Chef' in 2004. It is located on Market Street in San Francisco. Rodgers became head chef in 1987, and a co-owner two years later. Calcagno retired in 2006. Gilbert Pilgram joined Zuni Café as a co-owner in 2006. Rodgers died on December 2, 2013.

The Orbit Room Cafe is going on twenty years as a San Francisco cocktail destination. Chef Alexander Alioto made a name for himself at his first restaurant, Seven Hills, where he was co-owner and executive chef. Zagat named Seven Hills San Francisco’s best Italian restaurant in San Francisco while he ran the kitchen. At Plin, he is still offering his pasta favorites, yet Chef Alexander is taking more risks in the kitchen. Plin specializes in modern Italian cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood and handmade pasta dishes and extraordinary flavor pairings. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy, Alioto honed his craft during his extensive travels and stages across Europe where he worked for three years. He acquired his passion for seafood growing up with his restaurant family, which started selling crabs on Fisherman’s Wharf in 1925 and continues to run Alioto’s restaurant.

For over 25 years, Pauline's has been serving thin-crust pizzas with unsurpassed dimension in texture and flavor. Our dough is handmade every morning and allowed a long slow rise so the crust crisps to perfection. The light puff of the crust contrasts nicely with rich flavors of whole milk, olive oil and sea salt. Our pizzas are lightly sauced and layered with part-skim mozzarella. Pauline's is proud to offer many specialty toppings prepared on-site by our team of pizza specialists as well as tasty desserts such as boysenberry sorbet, butterscotch pudding and fraises du bois ice cream. Pauline's Pizza began producing its own organic produce because of the lack of local produce available at the time. We have lovingly chosen heirloom seeds and interesting combinations of greens, vegetables and herbs for our daily specials. We also make our own wines to pair with them.
