Be aware that we receive an extremely high volume of requests and having things together on your end before writing us saves everyone time and helps us to help you. GET YOUR DETAILS TOGETHER. Please have at least some idea of what you're planning before writing to us. What date(s) are you interested in? Who will be performing? Who will handle promotion? It's impossible to say we're interested in hosting your event if your message tells us absolutely nothing about it. If you just want to know what days we have available, check our calendar. Please note that we are usually booked 30 to 60 days in advance. Weekend dates are usually booked up even earlier. (A NOTE ON WEEKENDS) Fridays and Saturdays. Everyone wants one for their event, but unfortunately they only happen once a week...Weekends are usually pretty well booked three to four months in advance and fought over pretty hard. That in mind, if you are a first-time promoter or someone we haven't worked with in the past, we are going to be much less likely to give you a weekend date sight unseen. But Richmond people still party pretty hard on weeknights, so don't sweat it too hard. TOURING BANDS LOOKING TO FILL A DATE: As much as we'd like to be able to help everyone (we play in touring bands ourselves and have been there), sometimes this just isn't a possibility. The best way for an out-of-town band to get on a show here is to contact a like-minded local band or promoter here in Richmond (the resources section of this site is a good place to start) and have them contact us. If you are unable to find anyone willing to help you, you can send us your request and we will do our best to find someone willing to take the show on. However, it's entirely possible that we won't have much more success than you did. LOCAL BANDS LOOKING FOR GIGS: Thank you for your interest. Feel free to write us and we will keep you in mind for future events. If you are really desperate for gigs, we suggest you do what every band in history had to do when they were starting out: organize your own gigs. Play whenever and wherever you can, whether it's opening for Justin Bieber at the Coliseum or playing your friend's living room to 15 people. Put out a demo tape or CD-R and get your name out. Work hard and show some dedication and eventually you'll be playing more shows than you can handle. In the meantime, if you come to us with a solid bill and are willing to work hard at promoting it, there's no reason we couldn't host your event. CONTACTING US: If you have read and understand the above, e-mail us at [email protected] ALL INQUIRIES are handled through this e-mail address. - Your subject line should include the date(s) you are interested in and some sort of description of the event (ie. “July 27th or 28th – This Band and That Band”). Please don't make the subject “show” or “booking” or something equally vague. I don't know why people do this. - Include links to websites, music, etc. We will ask for them if you don't. - Let us know if the dates are flexible or if this is part of a tour. - Feel free to include whatever other relevant information you like. Lengthy bios, photos, EPKs and the like are not necessary and probably won't even be looked at. If you have played Richmond in the past, that's definitely a plus. Make sure to let us know if you have, when, where and with whom. AFTER CONTACTING US: Please allow some time for a reply. We have no regular booking hours, a reply may come within seconds or may take several days. DO NOT call the venue, poke us on Facebook, or anything like that. This will not help you. If you feel like an extraordinary amount of time has passed and you have received no reply, send a follow-up message. YOU WILL NEED WRITTEN CONFIRMATION FROM US BEFORE THE SHOW IS CONFIRMED. Once we hold a date for you, we will give you a rundown on our rules and regulations which you'll need to agree to. We'll confirm all the details, and you'll need to produce digital and physical copies of a flier/poster before the show is locked in 100% and added to our calendar.
