Escape the Room is a fun, real life game that takes place in Philadelphia. While it looks like any other ordinary room, it's actually a mystery puzzle. The Chinese Lantern Festival is a celebration of light and culture that features artisans from China and the Philadelphia region. For seven weeks, Franklin Square will glow with more than 25 larger-than-life illuminated displays of giant flowers, a three-story pagoda, a huge Chinese dragon and much more, created using traditional Chinese methods with thousands of LED lights in brilliant colors. In addition to the gorgeous light installations, festival-goers will enjoy daily performances, culinary exploration, crafts by working artists, and still be able to play Philly Mini Golf, ride the Parx Liberty Carousel, and enjoy Center City's premier play place during the duration of the festival.

Bloktoberfest, an all-ages, free-to-attend celebration of beer, food, music, and Philly will be returning for its EIGHTH year on Saturday, October 15th, 2016, from noon to 9pm, taking over three blocks of South Street between Broad Street and 18th Street. In partnership with South Street West Business Association and Bella Vista Beer Distributors, Bloktoberfest will once again showcase a wide selection of beer by craft breweries from around the country, food from neighborhood vendors and food trucks, and multiple stages of live music featuring nationally recognized and emerging local acts. The event is not for profit, with beer proceeds directed back into a neighborhood initiatives that address education, green space, and public safety. BEER Once again, Bloktoberfest is partnering with Philadelphia's own Bella Vista Beer Distributors to bring you an unparalleled selection of craft beer by breweries from around the country. The space is rented out for plays only (musical productions are not permitted in this space). The rental week runs Tuesday–Sunday, and most groups rent for a minimum of two weeks at a time. Tori Mittelman founder of In Cahoots and Madison Auch, founding member of In Cahoots Theatre Company, met in 2006 while both living in Fairfax, Virginia during high school. Fast friends and like-minded artists, they started working together early on to create provocative pieces of theatre; in 2010 they put up a production of Don Nigro's "Seascape with Sharks and Dancer", in which Tori directed and Madison played Tracy. While attending school in Wisconsin, Tori created a devised project, "Traveling to a Strange Place", that focused on feminist issues with classmate Mona Maclay. It was during this endeavor that the term In Cahoots was coined, after a professor of Maclay's and Mittelman's used the term to describe the pair's friendship and unconventional method of collaboration. After Tori moved to Philadelphia in the fall of 2014, In Cahoots Theatre was created, and is thrilled to be producing their first show in the Philadelphia Fringe next fall. In Cahoots Theatre is a new Philadelphia-based activist theatre company founded by Tori Mittelman.It is led by Artistic Producers Tori Mittelman and Madison Auch. Here at In Cahoots we believe that theatre can and should be used as a tool to show societal strife and bridge the gap between all aspects of life. Theatre should not be an event for the privileged, but an experience accessible to anyone willing to be thrown into the world with us.
