U.S. Bank Stadium is a fixed-roof stadium in the Downtown East section of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, on the site of the demolished Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. U.S. Bank Stadium serves as the home of the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). The Vikings played at the Metrodome from 1982 until its closure in 2013 and before that at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, Minnesota from 1961 to 1981. During the 2014 and 2015 seasons, the Vikings played at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota while the new stadium was being built. On June 17, 2016, U.S. Bank Stadium was deemed substantially complete by contractor Mortenson Construction. Authority to use and occupy the stadium was handed over to the Vikings and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority. The stadium was substantially completed six weeks before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will be held on July 22, 2016. The Vikings are scheduled to play the first regular season game at U.S. Bank Stadium on September 18, 2016, against the Green Bay Packers on NBC Sunday Night Football.It is the first fixed roof stadium built in the NFL since Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, opened in 2002. As of March 2015, the overall budget was estimated to be 1.061 billion, of which 348 million is coming from the state of Minnesota, 150 million from the city of Minneapolis, and 551 million coming from the team and private contributions. U.S. Bank Stadium is scheduled to host Super Bowl LII on February 4, 2018, and the 2019 NCAA Final Four. On June 15, 2015, the Vikings announced that U.S. Bank had acquired the naming rights to the stadium. The naming deal is worth $220 million over 25 years.

Semple Mansion was originally constructed as a residential mansion for Frank and Anne Semple and their family. In 1899, construction began on this three story mansion in the Second Italian Renaissance Revival style. The majority of the third floor holds The Grand Palladian Ballroom, the largest original residential ballroom in Minnesota. The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (commonly called the Metrodome) was a domed sports stadium located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It opened in 1982 as a replacement for Metropolitan Stadium, the former home of the National Football League's (NFL) Minnesota Vikings and Major League Baseball's (MLB) Minnesota Twins, and Memorial Stadium, the former home of the Minnesota Golden Gophers football and baseball teams.The Metrodome was the home of the Vikings from 1982 to 2013, the Twins from 1982 to 2009, the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Minnesota Timberwolves in their 1989–90 inaugural season, the Golden Gophers football team until 2008 and the Golden Gophers baseball team from 2004 to 2012. It was also the home of the Minnesota Strikers of the North American Soccer League in 1984. On January 18, 2014, the Metrodome roof was deflated, signaling the beginning of demolition work. The Vikings played at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium for the 2014 and 2015 NFL seasons, ahead of the planned opening of U.S. Bank Stadium in 2016.

On October 4, 2007 - Ret. General Colin Powell and his wife Alma, joined former Governor Tim Pawlenty, Mayor R.T. Rybak, Urban Ventures and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School to celebrate the official grand opening of the Colin Powell Youth Leadership Center in south Minneapolis, MN. “I’m very proud to be a part of this project. I’ve been with this project for 10 years. Ten years ago Art Erickson (Urban Ventures Founder) asked if I would allow the facility to be named after me." Powell said. “I knew little about Art Erickson. I knew little about south Minneapolis, but I was so moved by the passion he brought to it, I said YES!" CPC is a 160,000 square foot facility located on E Lake St and 4th Ave S. It includes many different classroom and office spaces, a chapel, a café, a dance studio, a theater, an auditorium and a four court gymnasium. It is jointly owned by Urban Ventures and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. Roughly one third of the space in the building is dedicated to each partner. The remaining third is shared between the two organizations. This building was designed to help individuals and families within the Central and Phillips neighborhoods and provides a place for youth and adults to build the skills they need to be successful educationally, technically, vocationally and morally.

The Mental Health Crisis Response Institute brings all of the Barbara Schneider Foundation's training programs under one roof to make it easier to access trainings and to strengthen our mission and goals. Mental illness is a common health problem. All those that support individuals with a mental illness need training for their particular role as a provider or supporter to work within the legal framework of thier positions. Collaboration among the systems is key to preventing mental health crisis and supporting recovery. Trainings are provided for police, detention and corrections; social service and mental health professionals; EMS; nursing and allied health staff; those who work with veterans; attorneys and judges. The Barbara Schneider Foundation created the Mental Health Crisis Response Institute to continue to grow its training mission by partnering with expert trainers and local agencies to address the concrete needs of those who encounter a person in crisis. Trainings are customized to meet the particular needs of students

Alliance’s programs and activities include affordable housing development and management and supportive housing for families. Alliance Housing Inc. has developed 437 housing units, all in Minneapolis. Alliance fills a critical niche in Minneapolis’ affordable housing marketplace. Our units are some of the most affordable -- a room, where a resident shares a bathroom and kitchen, costs as little as $330 per month. Our largest apartments, with three bedrooms, cost $865 per month. These rents are 15-35% below market rents. We’re able to sustain these lower rents by non-amortizing debt from our public funders, lean but effective property management, and generous donations from individuals and churches. Alliance rents to tenants that other landlords turn down because of their low income or poor rental and criminal histories. Without stable housing these individuals are unable to hold down a job or get their children to school every day. We provide support and flexibility so our tenants can maintain their housing. Many of our tenants are low wage and seasonal workers - essential to our economy but unable to afford market rent apartments.

NuWay is a private, non-profit organization located In the Heart of the Recovery Community that has served men and women recovering from substance use & mental health disorders since 1966. Over the past 50 years, NuWay has served more than 40,000 individuals and is privileged to be the first in the nation to offer the Co-Occurring Disorders Program (CDP) that was created by Dartmouth Medial School in association with Hazelden Foundation. The goal of the CDP is to enhance our clients' recovery through understanding substance abuse use and mental health disorders. It is our belief that both require equal levels of intervention.

Blindness: Learning In New Dimensions provides adjustment to blindness training to adults, children, teens, and seniors. We help our students learn to use non-visual techniques and develop the self-confidence and belief in themselves to put those techniques into practice to live full and successful lives.

The COOL Youth Center is a neighborhood-based, family oriented program that provides academic enrichment, social and emotional development, and life skills training for youth ages 5 through 18. The COOL Youth Center serves youth by providing a place where caring adults can create relationships that build trust. By learning important life skills at COOL, these children are able to become contributing members of our community. The majority of our families are led by single mothers and 98% of our families have annual incomes of under $35,000. We know that an investment in youth through high-quality after school programming will provide positive impacts later in life in the areas of school performance, social and emotional development, preparation for the work force, and better health.
