By night, Ignite’s workroom is transformed into flexible work room offering a unique venue for private, corporate and community events. The Society for Arts is Chicago’s newest elite event venue, it is sure to add beauty and a historical presence to any event. This gem of a venue creates a superior elegance that mirrors the standards of JFOD’s exquisite catering. Located at 1112 N. Milwaukee, this historical landmark was originally designed to be a bank. Built in 1920, it was bought in 1993 and developed into an art gallery. The work of various European artists suspends from the tall ceilings, offering unique detail to the space. The venue provides an open plan, elegant columns throughout the room and a built-in bar. It allows for a choice of white walls or red velvet curtains to create the perfect ambiance to accompany an event.

Since 1988, John Corbett has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC); he was artistic director of Berlin JazzFest 2002 and co-curated the Empty Bottle Jazz Series from 1996 to 2005. Corbett was co-curator of Pathways to Unknown Worlds: Sun Ra, El Saturn, and Chicago's Afro-Futurist Underground, 1954-1968 (Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago, 2006; Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, 2009; Durham Art Guild, Durham, North Carolina, 2009). For over 20 years, Jim Dempsey was the house manager and occasional programmer at the Gene Siskel Film Center, Chicago. Dempsey is an alumnus of SAIC. Together Corbett and Dempsey have been involved in many independent curatorial projects, including Big Picture: A New View of Painting In Chicago (Chicago History Museum, 2007) and Touch and Go: Ray Yoshida and his Spheres of Influence (Sullivan Galleries, Chicago, 2010), Ralph Arnold: My Bag (Nolan Judin, Berlin, 2010), Painthing on the Möve (curated with Albert Oehlen for Thomas Dane Gallery, London, 2011), Christina Ramberg ‘Corset Urns and Other Inventions 1968-1980’ (David Nolan Gallery, New York, 2012-curated with David Nolan), and Big Youth 2 at BOUROUINA GALLERY in Berlin (2012), and the upcoming Monster Roster: Existentialist Art in Postwar Chicago at the Smart Museum (University of Chicago) (2016). Paperish Mess is a storefront and art gallery located in Chicago's Ukrainian Village neighborhood. Paperish Mess is a retail space showcasing original artwork in a variety of mediums and styles, as well as handmade goods and wares by independent artists. Established in 1991, Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art (Intuit) is the only nonprofit organization in the United States that is dedicated solely to presenting self-taught and outsider art — with world class exhibitions; resources for scholars and students; a Permanent Collection with holdings of more than 1,100 works of art; the Henry Darger Room Collection; the Robert A.
