Books-by-Mail is a book delivery service offered to rural residents of New Mexico who do not live near a State Library Rural Bookmobile stop or a public library. The service is also available to New Mexico residents who are homebound because of a physical disability and unable to visit a local library or who can only read large print books due to a visual disability. This program is funded with a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services which administers the Library Services and Technology Act.
The Santa Fe County Firefighters Association is comprised of the Firefighter/EMTs & Firefighter/Paramedics stationed in Santa Fe County's regional stations. Station 50 in Pojoaque, Station 60 in Rancho Viejo, Station 61 in Agua Fria, Station 62 in Las Campanas, Station 70 serving Edgewood and Stanley and Station 80 serving the Eastern region. These stations house highly trained professional crews ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All members are trained to a MINIMUM level of IFSAC Firefighter II, vehicle extrication, Hazardous Materials Operations & Awareness, wild land fire supression as well as maintaining EMT-B, EMT-I/AEMT or Paramedic licensure. Beyond that, many members have extensive additional training in wildland fire, rescue, and haz-mat.
