The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) creates opportunities and changes lives through access to quality teaching, services, and experiences that enrich our diverse community. The College of Southern Nevada Black Student Association, BSA, promotes activities of common interest, as well as cultural and educational benefits for the African American community. The BSA provides a forum for the community to voice their differences, goals, and ideas. Furthermore, BSA encourages cooperation between other student organizations and the African American student body.
ACS and Adam’s Best Driver Education want to thank you for trusting us with the start of your teen’s driver education. This school has been founded by parents, traffic safety experts and others touched by preventable loss from car crashes. It is our intention to take forward our knowledge that life can change forever by making one unsafe choice on the road. We believe safe driving is a shared responsibility and that safety every time in a vehicle is a non-negotiable requirement. This message will be impressed upon your teen through the 30 hour course. We are here to support the game plan of safety first and always when on the roads. Together, we will develop safer drivers and reduce fatalities. We are on the road together!

The school had its beginnings in a small public school in Mohave Valley, Arizona. In 1966, an innovative administrator and education specialist, Dr. Theresa Smith recognized that traditional concepts of education were not meeting the needs of some bright students with processing or focusing issues. The generosity determination of the Board members, have kept New Horizons Center for Learning stable through a series of changes, disruptions of sites and economic downturns. Through their efforts, others in the community have become aware of the seeming miracles the staff obtained after other schools have tried and failed. No program such as this stands still. It must move forward and enlarge its scope to take advantage of new techniques and programs known to be effective. The number of bright children needing the individual help and alternative learning approaches grows! Although conditions have changed markedly over the last several years for the Academy, the philosophy and ideals have remained constant. Now, a well established, alternative private school, the program continues its dedication to children in need of its services and to an ongoing search for excellence.
