William Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets touch on every major theme in life. Now, every one of his works will be performed in staged readings at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. In a unique collaboration with Shakespeare Dallas, the complete works of William Shakespeare will be presented over a 5-year span in the intimate Hamon Hall inside the Winspear Opera House. Lincoln Plaza is a 45-story high-rise in Downtown Dallas, Texas. In September 2013, the building was renamed Ross Tower. The building rises to a height of 579 feet (176 m) and was completed in 1982. Currently, it is the 14th-tallest building in the city.Major tenantsEnsco International has its corporate headquarters in Suite 4300 in the building. In 2009 Ensco announced that it will move its headquarters to London and become a British-registered company. The company said that it does not plan to move "a large number" of employees to London. The COO of the company will remain in Dallas.At one time Halliburton had its headquarters in Lincoln Plaza. As of 2002 20 employees worked in the building. The company moved its headquarters from the Southland Life Building to 50648sqft of space in Lincoln Plaza in 1985. Halliburton planned to move its headquarters to Houston in 2002. Halliburton was scheduled to move to 5 Houston Center in Downtown Houston in 2003.

Après que le cortège présidentiel eut traversé à vitesse réduite le centre de la ville et alors que la voiture présidentielle, décapotée, passait sur Dealey Plaza, John F. Kennedy fut mortellement blessé par des tirs d'arme à feu. Quelques heures après la fusillade, un homme, Lee Harvey Oswald, fut arrêté dans un cinéma pour avoir tué un policier. Identifié comme un des employés du dépôt de livres, lieu dont des témoins ont perçu des tirs sur le cortège, et où l'on a retrouvé, au cinquième étage du bâtiment, un fusil à lunette lui appartenant, il fut considéré par la police de Dallas comme le suspect de l'assassinat du président. Deux jours après, lors de son transfert à la prison de Dallas, il fut à son tour assassiné par Jack Ruby, un propriétaire de boîte de nuit.Afin de dissiper les doutes et interrogations concernant un complot d'assassinat, Lyndon Johnson nomma une commission d'enquête chargée de faire la lumière sur les faits. Les conclusions de la Commission Warren, établissant la seule culpabilité d'Oswald dans l'assassinat, n'empêchèrent pas les contestataires et critiques. Museum Tower is a 42-story, 170m skyscraper, providing personalized service, in the arts district of Dallas, Texas. Completed in January 2013, the building is the tallest new structure to be built in the city in recent years, and is now the second-tallest all-residential building in Dallas, behind Gables Republic Tower.HeightMuseum Tower is the 15th-tallest structure in Dallas, tied with both the Reunion Tower and Cityplace Center in height. Among all-residential buildings in Dallas it is surpassed in height only by the Republic Center Tower I, with its 184m spire. However, if measuring by roof height, and thereby excluding the Republic Center Tower I's spire, Museum Tower is taller. It also breaks the record for the highest residence in Dallas, surpassing the 138m Republic I. The Museum Tower is the 4th-tallest building in Dallas' Arts District, behind Chase Tower, Fountain Place, and the Trammell Crow Center; with Bank Of America Plaza being the tallest building in Dallas.DesignMuseum Tower was designed by architect Scott Johnson, a member of the Los Angeles-based Johnson Fain architectural firm. Plaza of the Americas is a major commercial complex in the City Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). It is adjacent to DART's Pearl Station and connected to the Dallas Pedestrian Network. The complex features several amenities connected by an enclosed 120,000sqft. skylighted atrium which rises 13 stories above the lowest level: Plaza of the Americas I-South Tower (25-story office tower) Plaza of the Americas II-North Tower (25-story office tower) Univision Center (26-story office tower) 416-room Dallas Marriott City Center 25,000sqft of meeting space 2 levels of retail surrounding an indoor park 1,000 space parking garage 2010 Energy StarHistoryThe $100 million Plaza of the Americas, announced in 1977, was one of the first mixed-use developments in Dallas designed around an enclosed atrium. The design featured dark gray glass cladding for twin office towers contrasted with poured in place concrete for the hotel and garage. Construction on the 5.5acre site began in 1978 and finished in 1980.In 1983 an additional office building, the 26-story Univision Center (formerly Plaza of the Americas III and Allianz Financial Centre), was constructed across Crockett Street and connected to the complex. An additional parking garage was added in 1984. Through an agreement with the City the developers received tax-exempt bond financing in exchange for a promise to develop 100 units of housing above the garage within 5 years. A fourth 26-story building, Plaza of the Americas IV, was also planned across Crockett Street. In 1989 plans changed to increase the building to 42-stories, but the structure was never built.
The Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre is a theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). It is one of four venues that comprise the AT&T Performing Arts Center and was dedicated October 12, 2009. The 80,300-square-footbuilding is twelve stories and holds about 600 people, depending upon the stage configuration. It is the new venue for the Dallas Theater Center, Dallas Black Dance Theatre and Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico.The Wyly Theatre was designed by REX | OMA, Joshua Prince-Ramus (partner in charge) and Pritzker Prize winning architect Rem Koolhaas. It features a groundbreaking design with an unprecedented "stacked" vertically organized facility that completely rethinks the traditional form of theatre. It is named for Dee and Charles Wyly, who donated $20 million to the Center.The vertical rods lining the outside of the building on all four sides are intended to be symbolic of the folds of a theater curtain. The rods comprising the facade are extruded anodized aluminum.
