River of life was planted in East Missoula in April 2008. Jason and Shannon Tonn led an amazing team into a community in need of a little hope. The mission was simple on paper, but complex beyond words when it came to actually putting boots on the ground. Through a series of miracles, River of Life opened it’s doors to the public on Saturday night, April 26, 2008. At River of Life, we believe we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ. When you come to ROL, you will not be walking into a multi-million dollar facility with a full time staff of pastors. Rather, you will find yourself in a modest industrial complex that would be described as comfortable but not extravagant. You will be led by a group of ministers who work full time jobs outside the church. You will be in a place that pours the majority of its income back into the community we are called to serve. We try our hardest to practice what we preach. We are imperfect people who serve a perfect savior. We despise religion, but preach that relationships with Christ and others are what life is really all about. Life is a journey and we realize only one person has lived a perfect life throughout all of history. We re not called to be perfect, but our journey compels us to be as much like Christ as we possibly can. All are welcome at River of Life, your past does not define you, your creator does.
