Education and Experience Ava Amescua earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in August 2014. This four-year program consists of 2,850 hours of education including 795 hours of clinical practice. Ava’s training includes adjunctive therapies such as moxibustion, tui na, acupressure, cupping, auriculotherapy, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations. Ava is certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in August 2014. This includes certification in Clean Needle Technique and Chinese Herbology. Ava is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado. She is a licensed acupuncturist in Colorado. None of these licenses, certificates, or registrations has ever been suspended or revoked. Prior to attending school for Chinese Medicine, Ava earned her Associates in Occupational Science in Massage Therapy in May 2009 and has been practicing Massage Therapy since. The program consisted of an intensive 1300 hour program including an internship in the school and in a private practice. Dr. Deveau received her doctorate of chiropractic and masters of acupuncture concurrently at New York Chiropractic College and Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture. Dr. Jill relocated to Colorado in order to expand her mission to educate and empower individuals and communities so that they can achieve optimum health. Dr. Jill is not a chiropractor with a certificate in acupuncture (100-300 hours of training in acupuncture) but is a licensed acupuncturist with 3500 hours of training in acupuncture theory and technique. My Reiki practice has been developing for 20+ years. I practiced Reiki on myself, untrained and uncertified for many years. When finances and opportunity united, I gifted myself with the opportunity to train and become certified. The divine timing of these trainings allowed for a spiritual integration through active practice between levels. Practicing Reiki is a humbling opportunity to connect with others in a divine and intentional manner. Acting as a conduit for Source, Spirit, God healing/love/light energy is an honor and privilege.
