Follow-up tests after abnormal cancer screening results within the last 12 months: Chances are you know someone who has been affected by cancer. Whether it’s yourself, your aunt, or a friend from church, cancer touches us all. If you qualify, you will be asked to participate in a one-hour interview in your area. After the interview, you will receive $50 for your time. The goal of the study is to learn about your experience with completing follow-up tests after the cancer screening test. The information gathered from the study will be used to identify promising strategies for promoting early detection of cancer in your area. The study is funded by the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society. Residents of Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne counties are eligible to participate.
