The National Museum of Mathematics or MoMath is a museum dedicated to mathematics in Manhattan, New York City. It opened on December 15, 2012. It is located at 11 East 26th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues, across from Madison Square Park in the NoMad neighborhood. It is the only museum dedicated to mathematics in North America, and features over thirty interactive exhibits. The mission of the museum is to "enhance public understanding and perception of mathematics."HistoryIn 2006 the Goudreau Museum on Long Island, at the time the only museum in the United States dedicated to mathematics, closed its doors. In response, a group led by the MoMath's current executive director, Cindy Lawrence, met to explore the opening of a new museum. They received a charter from the New York State Department of Education in 2009, and raised over 22 million dollars in under four years. With this funding a 19,000sqft space was leased in the Goddard Building at 11-13 East 26th Street, which is part of the Madison Square North Historic District. Despite some opposition to the architectural plans within the local community, permission for construction was granted by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and the Department of Buildings.

The NYSID Master of Professional Studies (MPS-S) in Sustainable Interior Environments is a one-year post-professional program focused on specialized knowledge, thinking, and skills, structured to prepare design professionals to assume leadership roles in developing and maintaining sustainable interior spaces that will positively impact the world. The curriculum provides rigorous professional education in the area of sustainable design focused on the interior environment, exposing students to a range of topics, research methods, integrated design development methodologies, and sustainable project management practices. Course work addresses the history and theory of sustainability, principles of sustainable materials, natural and artificial lighting and control systems, and integrated environmental systems design and indoor air quality as well as green textiles, furnishings, and decorative elements. The program includes two major studios designed to integrate acquired knowledge and research while exploring both residential and nonresidential environments, and prepares graduates to achieve LEED AP Accreditation. The 30-credit MPS-S requires completion in one year and is structured to accommodate working professionals by offering all classes in the evening and on weekends. The program consists of two 15-week semesters composed of lecture, seminar, and studio formats followed by an 8-week summer session. All of the 30 credits required for the MPS degree must be taken at NYSID. Admission to the MPS in Sustainable Interior Environments program requires formal acceptance and a first-professional degree in interior design, architecture, or a closely related field, and submission of a portfolio demonstrating the applicant’s professional–level education and experience.

The Fixed Income Analysts Society (FIASI), founded in 1975, is a not-for-profit professional society dedicated to the education of its membership and the fixed income community at large. Welcome To Project Main St. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a rapidly progressive, invariably fatal neurological disease that attacks the nerve cells (neurons) responsible for controlling voluntary muscles. No cure has yet been found for ALS. About 10 percent of those individuals with ALS survive for 10 or more years. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals afflicted with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and their families by lessening the financial burden associated with this devastating disease. CODE PURPLE is a non-profit organization that marries high fashion and international philanthropy. CODE PURPLE brings together world-renowned designers, fashion moguls, celebrities, and models under one banner - protecting innocent people from contracting malaria through fashion. In February 2012, CODE PURPLE debuted their first show, the CODE PURPLE EVENT, to the tune of over 1200 people aboard the USS Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum. Over 50 media outlets were in attendance covering what would become the largest fashion show to close out New York Fashion Week. ING Activewear launched one of the largest initiatives in 2012 to help prevent the millions of children and adults from dying of malaria every year. Supporters play a direct role to raise crucial funds needed to bring help to more than 200 million people affected worldwide by malaria each year. The NYC Feral Cat Initiative (NYCFCI), a program of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, supports the efforts of organizations and individuals who work to help stray and feral cats — collectively known as "community cats" — and perform Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) in New York City. Our goal is to humanely reduce the population of community cats in NYC.

The family and friends are pleased to announce the launching of the Rosemarie K Witter Foundation and the Rose Garden Scholarship Fund to honor Rosemarie’s memory and legacy. June 26, 2012 will mark the tenth anniversary of Rosemarie’s passing: however her memory is still very alive with us. Therefore we have created this foundation and scholarship fund to honor her. Rosemarie was a Mechanical Engineer with hopes of pursuing a law degree; however her life was cut short by Lupus ending her goal to practice law -she was only 37 years old. “Rosie” was a very loving and caring individual, a humanitarian who was passionate about the causes that she believed in. Had she lived, Rosemarie would have delved into Lupus research with a determination to find the cause(s) and a possible cure for this disease that took her life. Rosemarie was unable to pursue this endeavor, but her family and friends are committed to carrying the torch in her memory.
