Longtime restaurateur, lifetime New Yorker and Irish-American, Bruce Caulfield always wanted to create a place that had the homey feel of a Irish pub, the quality of a fine dining establishment, and a great selection food and drinks at reasonable prices. Along with his father John and partners Patrick and Michael O’Brien, he made this a reality by building Tracks. Restaurants and bars have always been a part of Bruce’s life and it’s how he met his partners, Patrick and Michael. Bruce’s grandfather owned a bar on 1st Avenue and 53rd Street in the 1930’s (where Parnell’s currently is), and both Pat and Mike worked there as porters in the 1980’s while in high school. Bruce got to know them through the newsstand he owned on 2nd Avenue and 53rd Street, and it was there where they vowed to open a bar together some day. And 20 years later, the dream became a reality when they created Tracks. One look around Tracks and you would notice how much time and effort was taking into creating the perfect place for enjoying a meal or hanging out for a drink after work. Tracks was a labor of love that required all Bruce's and the O’Briens' creativity and commitment. The care and attention to detail are showcased in the railroad theme found throughout Tracks, featuring old prints and murals related to the history of the LIRR - for train spotters a particular rare model of the 1964 World’s Fair subway is on display. The owners of Tracks owe their deepest appreciation to the numerous bar owners and bartenders who helped as advisors throughout the years. Eamonn Doran, Steve McFadden and Danny Ryan were a tremendous influence in the early years, and current supporters Danny McDonald, Des O’Brien, and all their friends at Tir na Nog gave essential assistance to the creation of Tracks.

WBLS is an urban adult contemporary FM radio station in New York City. The station has had a number of call letters, owners and formats throughout its history. It is currently owned by Emmis Communications, along with sister station WLIB . The two stations share studios in the West Village section of Manhattan, and WBLS' transmitting antenna is located on the Empire State Building. It was previously owned by YMF Media LLC, owned jointly by investor Ronald Burkle and Magic Johnson, which had assumed control of WBLS and WLIB's former parent company, Inner City Broadcasting Corporation, on October 19, 2012 at a purchase price of $180 million.HistoryThe 107.5 frequency in New York City signed on in July 1951 as WEVD-FM, simulcasting its sister station at 1330 AM. Within a few years, WEVD-FM moved to 97.9, and 107.5 went off the air.Several years later the New Broadcasting Company, then-owners of WLIB, was awarded a construction permit for the dormant frequency and on September 15, 1965 reactivated 107.5 as WLIB-FM. As the Federal Communications Commission recently instituted a rule prohibiting full-time AM/FM simulcasting in large markets, WLIB-FM was programmed with a jazz music format. The stations were split up in 1972, when Inner City Broadcasting purchased WLIB (AM); WLIB-FM was then renamed WBLS. Inner City reunited the pair with its purchase of WBLS in 1974.

Macy's Herald Square, originally known as the R. H. Macy and Company Store, is the flagship of Macy's department stores, located on Herald Square in Manhattan, New York City. The building's 2.2 million square feet (almost 205,000 square meters) has made it the world's largest department store since 1924., the store has stood at the site for 115 years. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark in 1978.HistoryMacy's was founded by Rowland Hussey Macy, who between 1843 and 1855 opened four retail dry goods stores, including the original Macy's store in downtown Haverhill, Massachusetts, established in 1851 to serve the mill industry employees of the area. They all failed, but he learned from his mistakes. He moved to New York City in 1858 and established a new store named "R.H Macy Dry Goods" at Sixth Avenue on the corner of 14th Street. On the company's first day of business on October 28, 1858 sales totaled $11.08, equivalent to $ today. From the very beginning, Macy's logo has included a star in one form or another, echoing a red star-shaped tattoo that Macy got as a teenager when he worked on a Nantucket whaling ship.
