Shooting from the heart is what wedding photography is all about: capturing the bond between bride and groom, the emotions of families and guests, and the special moments that make your wedding a day to remember. That's Love and Life Photography.
Oh So Vivant (formerly Photomaton) has a storefront but is currently only open by appointment or chance, or for the occasional Cherokee street function. ohsovivant.com: Custom Photo Booths We’ll design and build a set tailored to your personal style, creating a space at your special event in which guests can play, move around, and interact with the set and each other in a physical scene. We staff a photographer at each event who's experienced in guiding you into your best poses if you're at a loss for what to do in front of the camera. Each shot can be printed on-demand and on-site, with a frame-ready, high-quality 4” x 6” souvenir to show off great times in sharp detail and brilliant color. This twist of the traditional photo booth fosters dynamic moments you and your guests will never forget!
In a search for new methods to ‘read the city’, Bauer focuses on the idea of ‘public space’ and more specifically on spaces where anyone can do anything at any given moment: the non-private space, the non-privately owned space, space that is economically uninteresting. His photos are often about contact with architecture and basic living elements. Energy (heat, light, water), space and landscape are examined in less obvious ways and sometimes developed in absurd ways. By exploring the concept of landscape in a nostalgic way, he investigates the dynamics of landscape, including the manipulation of its effects and the limits of spectacle based on our assumptions of what landscape means to us. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination. His works establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. By taking daily life as subject matter while commenting on the everyday aesthetic of middle class values, he often creates work using creative game tactics, but these are never permissive. Play is a serious matter: during the game, different rules apply than in everyday life and even everyday objects undergo transubstantiation. His works are characterised by the use of everyday objects in an atmosphere of middleclass mentality in which recognition plays an important role. Chris Bauer currently lives and works in Chicago And St. Louis. (Pulled from Facebook conversation – Alex Rauch 2013)
