Founded in 1991, the Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) is dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of the performing arts, with a commitment to youth development. A distinctive suburban arts organization, FPAC presents quality performances while offering opportunities for professional artists, amateurs and students of the arts to work together in a cooperative and creative environment.
The purpose of Arts & Culture Club is to expose students to World art forms while inspiring individual creativity, as well as enhancing interaction between local students and international students through various in-club and campus-wide events.
Ace Knight is a multi-talented freelance journalist who has been making videos professionally for on-line news, musicians, academics, and others for several years. He is also a student of comparative religion whose writings have been praised and reviewed by noted scholars in the field. In addition to these accomplishments, he is also a composer and writer of songs, a couple of which are being used in one of the biggest parades in America. Despite all of these achievements, he says that his most important goal is to serve humanity as embodied in his love for his family and the raising of his three sons.
The Franklin Art Association was established in 1971 to provide a forum for the promotion of visual arts; for the preservation of the finest artistic traditions by means of exhibiting works, conducting classes, lectures, and sponsoring other activities favorable to artistic expression and to provide friendly exchanges among painters, photographers and those interested in the fine arts. Regular monthly meetings are held at the New Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill St., a large new building located diagonally across from the town common and across from St. Mary's Church (directions), from 6:30-9:00 p.m. with a business meeting starting at 6:45, the first Wednesday of each month, September through June. Meetings are free and open to the public.
