NJAS has been serving the public for over 60 years (1953) providing education, livestock, and a friendly social outlet for hobbyists just like yourself. We currently have 130 members, including living legends like Dr. Paul Loiselle and Rosario LaCorte. We are a family friendly club who meets every 3rd Thursday of the month, renting space at the Quality Inn Meadowlands. For our meetings we fly or drive in a guest speaker with slide/video program, have an auction of uncommon and member-bred fish, plants, and dry goods, and present our Breeder and Grower Award Program that recognizes members as they spawn species by number and type. During the year we host and subsidize collecting trips to places like The Pine Barrens and Florida, a Summer Family Picnic and Holiday Party, weekend shop hops, and special bus trips. You may see our booth at Pet Expos around the State where we answer questions. All members receive our monthly magazine/newsletter. We occasionally have weekend Anniversary events that feature speakers, vendors, and a competitive fish show. In the Spring and Fall we host a Sunday “Giant Tropical Fish (and plant and invert) Auction.” Our auctions, along with nominal member dues, is how we fund all the club activities above, as well as insurance. NJAS is an all-volunteer aquarium society, with an annually elected Board of Directors and term limits. We have several committees you can get involved with (or not). We are a transparent club: our Board meets publically every month and our finances and meeting minutes are available to our members. We are registered with the State as a non-profit, and are currently working towards federal 501 non-profit status.

“NO Boundaries” OUR FOUNDING Unite to Save America, (U.S.A.), was born out of the obvious need for truth in this country. U.S.A. is a nonpartisan organization who will take the stage as a national watchdog cutting though the political and corporate propaganda and spin and disseminating the facts to the American People. America has become a land of disinformation ruled by the wealthy, who do not care about most issues since it does not affect them, who under the current liberal government have made significant strides in destroying the very fabric of American society. Through unbiased research and hard line interviews with political and corporate leaders, U.S.A. will report to the American people what is, “really”, happening behind each issue on the national scene. Americans have become complacent and put their trust in a political system that has failed. We are standing by and watching as the constitution is being bypassed and unprecedented abuses of power are being wielded. Our goal is to WAKE America up !!! These problems will not go away unless we the people address them…and NOW !!! More than 200 years ago, but completely relevant today, George Washington said, “Political parties may now and then answer popular ends, but they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.” George Washington, Farewell address, September 17th, 1796. John Adams said, “There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.” Today’s politics is not about what’s good for America. Today’s politics is about what’s good for each political party and how they can stay in power. There is only one way to stop this and that way is to, “Unite to Save America”! We send the politicians to our state capitals and to Washington DC. WE CAN call them back!
