The Gold Dust Lounge pours the Best & Cheapest $5 Irish Coffee in San Francisco at Fisherman’s Wharf. Located on Jefferson Street, across the way from Boudin and Alioto’s, it’s three times the size of the original location. That said, they did keep the motif as a whole, as well as details like the ceiling cherubs, Irish coffees and the signature marquee signage. Many have named this Irish Coffee the best in the world, beating out the entire country of Ireland itself. Although our signature is the Original San Francisco Bloody Mary, the Irish Coffee comes in a close second on our list of specialty drinks. Strong and hot, Our rendition of the Irish Coffee may rival that of the Buena Vista. Our $5 Irish Coffee price cannot be beat and has been voted the Best Deal in San Francisco. For Irish Coffee, the Gold Dust Lounge uses Lavazza coffee (so you know it’s good), a healthy pour of Irish whiskey, some brown sugar, and a topping of heavy cream. Bundle up outside and warm up over your coffee, or take a seat in the dimly lit bar area. But head in on a regular day and enjoy the sprawling bar, mellow attendees, and reasonably priced drinks. Thick, sweet cream combines with strong coffee and a kick of whiskey to satisfy an Irish Coffee craving. A slick, old west reminder of a time long since past. Founded in 1933, Gold Dust Lounge is definitely one of San Francisco's landmarks. The mural on the ceilings and the framed currency in the bar gives the lounge its unique flavor. Gold Dust Lounge caters to people who love to listen to live music and enjoy irish coffees which is featured almost nightly. Our New location is located at 165 Jefferson St. Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco - Call us today at (415) 397-1695 ...alas the Gold Dust Lounge will live on at its new address (165 Jefferson Street) at Fisherman's Wharf. Alioto’s Restaurant, a San Francisco landmark located on Fisherman’s Wharf, is one of San Francisco’s oldest fine dining seafood restaurants specializing in traditional Sicilian recipes. To this day, the family name is closely associated with the City of San Fransisco itself. Alioto’s knows fish. The Restaurant began as a fresh fish stall on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf in 1925. Since then, little has changed. Fish is still bought fresh daily by Alioto’s full time fish buyer. Alioto’s serves a tantalizing selection of fresh seafood, including sea bass, sand dabs, sole, swordfish, tuna, scallops, and Dungeness crab all caught locally, whenever possible. Alioto’s never skimps on the fish they purchase. Alioto’s fresh seafood is served charcoal grilled or griddle-fried. Or choose from Alioto’s Sicilian specialties that have been passed down the family. A favorite is Cioppino, a spicy tomato shellfish stew created by the restaurant’s founder, Rose Alioto. Or a Sicialian mixed grill, seafood cannelloni, shellfish risotto, or artichoke and arugula salad. Alioto’s San Francisco favorites include lightly pan-fried calamari that is unsurpassed, crab cakes, cracked crab, and homemade clam chowder. These dishes continue to be favorites of visitors and locals alike. Alioto’s restaurant is a culinary landmark that is still owned and operated by the descendants of the Nonna Rose Alioto who show the care and commitment of running a restaurant bearing their name. Oh, and our view is also famous.
