Peridance Capezio Center is a leading New York City dance studio serving students from all over the world. Founded in 1993, Christie’s Education New York is located in Rockefeller Center, alongside Christie's auction house, at 1230 Avenue of the Americas, based on the 20th Floor. Christie's Education New York was originally located in Midtown Manhattan and moved in August 2016 to be closer to the auction house. Christie's Education New York is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and the Commissioner of Education in their capacity as a nationally recognised accrediting agency. Christie’s Education New York carries out the Christie’s Education commitment to direct contact with original works of art through visits to Christie’s salerooms and well as private and public collections. Christie's Education New York offers a Master of Arts degree and continuing education programmes including certificates and short courses.
The SVA Library contains 80,000 books, millions of digital images, a picture file of 150,000 images and special collections of videos, DVDs, scripts and comics. The library maintains subscriptions to 400 print periodicals as well as a number of online reference databases in art, design, the humanities and popular culture, and offers computers with Internet access and a range of digital-imaging hardware. In October of 2006, the Milton Glaser Design Study Center and Archives opened with more than 5,000 works of art, sketches, magazines, newspapers, photographs, posters, prints and other materials. The archives have since grown, and include the Chermayeff & Geismar, Seymour Chwast, Heinz Edelmann, Steven Heller, Ed McCabe, James McMullan, Tony Palladino, George Tscherny and Henry Wolf collections.
Little Picasso NYC is a children’s art studio. It is a place where children can have fun, get messy,create and experiment with studio and visual arts. The youngest group of children being 2 years old and up to NO LIMITS in age, they are taught to think outside the box and venture into their own magical world of pure imagination while exposed to studio skills at their age appropriate level. It is not an arts and crafts establishment. It is an artists studio for budding young artists. My name is Isabella Grossman, founder of Little Picasso NYC. Inspired by my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter Novella, I have established the studio back in May of 2011. I have lived in China for several years running and managing a company that manufactures women’s fine accessories and related sportswear separates made of Eco-friendly fabrics and materials. Acted as the head designer, chief production officer and CFO, I was faced with the challenge of having to make a decision when I learned that my daughter was about to become the mother of my first grand child: Do I go back home and face the uncertainties of a tough economy, in competition with young college graduates working at entry level internship positions for what ever jobs might be available, if any, be the grandmother, or keep my ideal job in Guangzhou until retirement? I had no life, married to my job and working on the average of 15 hours a day – It was time to come home! My worst fears came to be: Looking for work, overqualified and middle aged my resources were dwindling while watching Novella grow up. Spending every precious moment available with her and grooming her into a little young artist as soon as she was old enough to stand up and grab things. Forced to work at odd jobs and freelance gigs (not too many available – the jobs were in China) I was creating a Little Picasso without realizing it. My daughter was watching us with joy when she dropped the brilliant brainstorm idea shortly before Novella’s 2nd birthday. “Mom stop looking for a job, the ideal job for you no longer exists in this country. Take what ever money you have left and do this for a living. Open up a children’s art studio – This is your calling” A month later Little Picasso NYC opened the doors to the public in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, one block south of where my granddaughter lives. I am home!

It is never too early or too late to learn a new language, but it is true that the younger the child, the easier it will be to become bilingual.
In 1956 commercial director Bob Barron met radio actor and announcer Dwight Weist. TV was a new invention and commercials were just in their infancy. It seems incredible now, but at the time it was almost impossible to find good actors willing to perform in the unfamiliar industry of On-Camera Commercials. Bob and Dwight were inspired with the idea of teaching newcomers to read copy and feel comfortable in front of the camera. They created a step-by-step technique, teaching new actors the fundamentals of Commercial Speech, On-Camera Performance, and most importantly, how to project their individual personality. The course was an immediate success and the school grew to become one of the most respected in all areas of on-camera training. Now a half-century later Weist-Barron is proud to have launched the careers of scores of actors who are working successfully in film, television, theatre and of course, commercials. WB is currently under the direction of Casting Director Valerie Adami, who was lucky to be trained by Bob and Dwight. She is honored to continue the tradition they created, and to serve the acting community, giving new talent the chance to enrich their dreams.

Immaculata High School in New York City was a once in a lifetime experience. We wore uniforms and checked our ego at the door. Our education came first and our loyalty to IHS remains forever. Since 1993 we have united classmates, faculty and staff from around the globe under one banner. Immaculata High school closed its doors in 1989, the voices of the students still linger on that East 33rd Street. The buildings are forever gone but the spirit of Immaculata High School lives on in the hearts of everyone that walked its halls. The memories of friends, classmates and teachers linger decades after commencement. The occasional alumni who passes by this location can momentarily venture back to their days at IHS.
