The Alamo Heights Police Department is staffed with twenty-two sworn full-time officers. Sworn officer staffing includes the Chief of Police, two Lieutenants, four Sergeants, two Criminal Investigators and thirteen officers. The Police Department also employs nine Communication Operators in the Emergency Services Center, one Senior Administrative Assistant in the Police Administrative Office, and one Animal Care Services Representative.
