GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources, therapeutic classes, specialized teaching and support to families of T21 (Trisomy 21/Down syndrome). Everything at GiGi’s Playhouse is FREE: occupational and physical therapy, tutoring and family support. The T21 population share common obstacles: sleep apnea, hypotonia (low muscle tone), weak mouth skills, low sensory awareness, nutritional deficits. If tackled early, these challenges can be managed and overcome. Early intervention works. Classes at GiGi’s Playhouse are styled for therapeutic play to develop speech and language, social development, fine and gross motor skills. Our literacy program builds a foundation from the beginning in four main areas: articulation, sight word recognition, vocabulary, comprehension. Tutoring is conducted one-on-one over 12 weeks with a 94% graduation rate to the next literacy level. T21 is a diagnosis of hope and one that with a little early intervention, a normal and independent life is possible.
LeadingAge Georgia currently represents over 150 mission-driven, quality-focused senior living communities and service providers who serve over 127,000 older Georgians. Members deliver a broad range of programs to the aging citizens in our state. Some of these programs range from independent retirement housing to skilled nursing care, and also include various community outreach programs such as Meals-on-Wheels, adult day care, wellness clinics, hospice and many more. LeadingAge Georgia keeps its members informed through the Georgia Institute on Aging by conducting an Annual Educational Conference, as well as seminars, symposia, forums and workshops. Monthly email newsletters and other information are distributed from the Association office. The emphasis on care by the Association is based on the needs of the aging population and on providing services to help senior adults achieve dignity and quality of life.

Our residential campus includes: 5 cottages, Evaluation and Stabilization Units, 24-hour Nursing Clinic and Pediatric Care, Hillside Conant School, SACS-SAIS accredited, Gymnasium and Pool, 2 Outdoor Sports Courts, Garden and Greenhouse.

Clubs are located in communities with the greatest need where similar services are limited or nonexistent. BGCMA asks families to pay annual membership dues of only $35 per child and no child is turned away due to inability to pay. A private, nonprofit organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta improves young lives as well as the communities that surround and support us. The organization relies upon private, corporate, individual and United Way funding to fill the gap between membership dues and operational expenses.

Zoetic was established to give voice to the extraordinary potential of the human body and spirit. Coming from the Greek ‘zoe,’ Zoetic means living, vital and animated which accurately describes the company’s approach to dance. Zoetic is an all-female company creating works that reflect a woman’s unique voice and vision. Zoetic endeavors to merge dance with visual media, honor classical roots and traditions, foster opportunities for risk and innovation, and provide a learning experience for professional artists in a nurturing and collaborative environment.
Times of national crisis can dramatically disrupt a military family’s life. The MISSION: Youth Outreach partnership supports military youth, ages 6 to 18, coping with a deployed parent, or parents, by creating a positive, supportive network. Through this partnership, children of National Guard, Reserve and Active Duty families, who do not live near or have access to a military Youth Center, can receive a free membership to their local Boys & Girls Club.
