The Fellowship of Freethought (FoF) Facebook page is a public forum for current and interested members to communicate and learn more about us. This includes sharing relevant news and information with the DFW freethinker community. As a user of Facebook, please note any content posted to our page is publicly viewable to an internet audience. FoF is not responsible for the accuracy or veracity of any type of post or the comments on this page. While we will monitor discussions and attempt to keep the dialogue civil, understand that we cannot watch everybody all the time. We ask that you please review and adhere to the following guidelines for communicating in reasonable and respectful ways. We retain the right to delete any comments and/or ban any members that violate the following posting and commenting guidelines. 1. This is a safe space. We encourage and value lively, spirited debate and discussion on topics that are important to us all. However, we understand not everyone shares our values, and those voices may express their views on our page. Fellowship of Freethought is committed to servicing all freethinkers in our community -- which is why diversity and inclusiveness is a cornerstone of FoF. We encourage participation from everyone with an open, questioning mind, regardless of gender identity, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status. 2. No trolling. "Trolls" (as a concept) are generally people who say just about anything and/or argue a point to get a rise out of others -- which often results in interesting conversations devolving into playground-like battles of ego. Trolling is generally construed as any form of personal attack, name calling, libel, defamation, comments about someone's mother, hate speech, comparisons to notorious dictators, etc. This includes posts that could be taken as threatening, harassing, bullying, obscene, pornographic, sexist, racist, etc. and extends to language telling subsets of our community to "shut up" and "get out." 3. Do not feed the trolls. We encourage community members to report abuse by trolls, but ask that you not engage with trolls in the comment threads. Reacting to their provocations is exactly what they want. Derailing is a more subtle form of trolling, and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. 4. No harassment. Repeated personal attacks against any member or officer of the FoF will result in a ban. Also, please respect people's privacy. We love to learn about new and interesting individuals, but most people will not be happy to have their phone numbers or e-mail addresses published. Please do not share another's contact information on the FoF page. 5. Disagree without being disagreeable. Some topics require blunt talk, and we're not always going to agree with each other. Show respect for your fellow freethinkers. Focus your remarks on positions, not personalities. Controversial topics, if you are willing to debate them, can be discussed but are subject to established comment guidelines. Please be aware that if you choose to engage in a dialogue, you may be asked provide evidence for your assertions/points. 6. No spam. This is not the forum for the "Best! New! Thing! EVER!" We are here to serve our community, not provide a ready-to-eat sales and marketing platform. If you are interested in promoting your business, please contact us to discuss sponsorship opportunities in our newsletter. 7. Warnings. A violation of any of the above will result in a warning. After two warnings you will be banned from our page. If you would like to appeal the decision, please contact the FoF Facebook page admin. 8. Admins/Officers. We're human. Sometimes, we make mistakes. If you feel you've been wronged, or that we've made the wrong decision, please message the officer in question or one of the other officers to sort things out. 9. Suggestions. Message or contact any FoF officer and share your thoughts with us. We love feedback on how we’re doing, and the topics on which you’d like to see more or less content.

Dance Council of North Texas presents Dallas DanceFest – an exhilarating festival that showcases excellence in dance and celebrates the outstanding contributions of distinguished leaders in the field. Dallas DanceFest (DDF) offers two evening showcases featuring exceptional works curated to reflect vibrancy, vitality, diversity, and excellence. Dance Council Honors recognizes the stellar contributions of distinguished dance leaders. DDF’s new name and new vision are built upon the foundations of The Dallas Morning News Dance Festival that began in 1985 with performances by Dancers Unlimited Repertory Company, Ballet Dallas, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre and spanned twenty seasons before concluding at Annette Strauss Square in 2004. DDF keeps the spirit of this beloved Labor Day tradition alive and upgrades production values by moving the former outdoor event to a new stage– the two-year old Dallas City Performance Hall (DCPH). Because of the conveniences of the Dallas Arts District, DCPH’s backstage facilities, and 750-seat proscenium theatre; DDF will now boast a new level of artistic excellence for artists and audiences alike. Inaugurated in 1987, Honors annually presents five awards of distinction to members of the dance community. The afternoon hosts a showcase that features performances by selected DCNT scholarship recipients, silent auction, and reception.
