Founded in 1970, the Galería is a non-profit community-based arts organization whose mission is to foster public awareness and appreciation of Chicano/Latino art and serve as a laboratory where artists can both explore contemporary issues in art, culture and civic society, and advance intercultural dialogue. To implement our mission, the Galería supports Latino artists in the visual, literary, media and performing art fields whose works explore new aesthetic possibilities for socially committed art.
Minnesota Street Project began as a labor of love for its founders. Deborah Rappaport, respected social entrepreneur, and Andy Rappaport, retired tech-industry veteran, are passionate supporters of both the arts and their adopted home, San Francisco. With a belief that “those who have done well have a responsibility to do good,” the Rappaports have acted out of a realization that a new form of artistic patronage is not only a worthy goal, but an aspect of local culture their unique skills enable them to realize.

Graybar San Francisco Downtown is a counter with will call pickup and stocked inventory in an on-site warehouse. Founded in 1869, and one of the largest-employee owned companies in North America, Graybar offers everything you may need to finish projects from beginning to end. Distributing high-quality electrical supplies, communications and data networking products, and maintaining the related supply chain and inventory management logistics of our clients is our specialty. Our San Francisco branch is one of more than 260 in North America. Over 30 percent of the energy used in commercial buildings is done so inefficiently. By controlling, monitoring and reporting on energy usage, you stand to reduce energy costs substantially. A lighting retrofit of an old building, or a complete building plan started from the beginning of a new construct can, over time, save enough money to not only pay for the equipment, but even produce a return on investment. Average ROI for a lighting retrofit or intelligent building project ranges from 17-45 percent. Lighting alone accounts for more than 20 percent of the energy costs in most commercial building. In as little as 2 years, lighting upgrades can pay for themselves and even offer a significant return on investment. Graybar San Francisco can assist in retrofitting and overhauling any existing buildings and even help in the planning of new buildings. Making use of intelligent control boards, occupancy sensors, manual and daylight activated dimmer switches, natural daylight sources, and time scheduling, Graybar can help you save energy, time, and money. Motion and sound sensors can detect the occupancy of rooms and hallways, automatically dimming or turning off lights when no one is present. This results in up to 45 percent savings in energy costs. Used in conjunction with manual dimmer switches, light sources use even less energy, saving an additional 4-9 percent. Graybar San Francisco has everything a project needs from start to finish.
