The Brazilian Arts Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cultural education and building community through the preservation and sharing of Brazilian culture. Our president/CEO Mauricio Campos (Professor Gringo) was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and moved to Houston in 1990. He is the President and Founder of the Brazilian Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2001 to promote and share the Brazilian culture in the Houston area. Mr. Campos, a native of Brazil, has over twenty-two years of experience in promoting sports and arts worldwide and that foundation led to his training in Capoeira in early 1997. His dedication and natural aptitude to martial arts led him to receive the title of “monitor” in 1998, which allowed him to start his teaching program in the Houston area. Through the Brazilian Arts Foundation, Mr. Campos teaches classes in Capoeira, music, percussion and folkloric dances. He is also responsible for organizing monthly and quarterly events, community partnerships, workshops, and special annual events such as the Houston Brazilian Festival. Mr. Campos leads multiple programs throughout the Houston area such as the Wesley Community Center Senior Arts Program, Rice University Capoeira Program, music program, kids summer camps, special residencies and, along with his very capable staff, supervises all the daily administrative and operation tasks of the organization.

Hiit it in 30 bootcamp is a 6 week group training program based on High Intensity Interval Training including the Tabata method. We will meet weekly, 2-3 times a week for 30 minute comprehensive total body workouts that focus on lower body, upper body and core, providing both cardio and strength. 30 min classes 3 days/week for 6 weeks. $180 for 3 days a week or $120 for 2 days a week. Mon: 5:30pm & 6pm Wed: 5:30pm & 6pm Sat: 10am I have found that Hiit training works for me and helps me stay in shape better than steady state cardio and hours in the gym! High intensity interval training boosts your metabolism to help you burn calories even after your workout is done! Two days we will focus on cardio training using plyo-metrics, tabata and body weight exercises and one day of strength training. I am also a personal trainer and do small group training. I will also post gluten free and dairy free recipes and will post products I have found and like that are gluten free and dairy free. Not a great cook so rely on other's recipes and try to tweak to make gluten and dairy free. If I use a recipe, I will always post for you to see. Been gluten free since October 2010 and dairy free since May 2012. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2002-3 as well as IBS Going gluten free was a hard decision to make but I am glad I did it. It really has made a difference in how I feel. Going dairy free was a more recent decision and I do notice that I feel better without it in my diet. Hope you enjoy!!
