The coffee house is an extension of Whitsitt and Rodgers' urban farm on Michigan Avenue, Kitchen House Farm, named for the old kitchen house that still stands on the property. The vision for Kitchen House Coffee is centered around the idea of finding a country respite in the city— a repurposed, urban space focused on sustainable product.
