For over 80 years The Milam Building has graced the San Antonio skyline with the dignity and charm recognized by business leaders throughout the city. Today that charm of the 1920's still exists, with added conveniences unmatched at other comparable building locations. Because in business, time is money, tenants appreciate the convenience of full service on-site management, print shop, a cafe, loan service company and other related retail services which expedite every executive's workday. This downtown landmark, built in 1928, is located in the heart of the central business district. The Milam Building is only a short walk from the courthouse and equally close to the city's largest banking headquarters, such as Bank of America, Frost Bank, and IBC. With a convenient entrance to the famous Riverwalk, the Milam Building places tenants only a few blocks from the epicenter of San Antonio tourist and retail attractions. The Milam Building is distinctly accessible from all points of the city and the central business district, allowing both tenants and their visitors congestion-free access to and from the building. Charm, elegance and convenience place The Milam Building a step above the rest. If you are looking for more than just office space, call for information today.
The Tower Life Building is a landmark and historic building in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA.Construction of the tower began in 1927 and the building rises 403 feet (123 meters) and has 30 floors. The building, which opened in 1929, was originally named the Smith-Young Tower and is the central component of a partially completed development called the Bowen Island Skyscrapers. The eight sided, neo-gothic brick and terra-cotta tower (complete with gargoyles) was designed by noted local architectural firm Ayres & Ayres (Atlee & Robert M. Ayres). The building also housed San Antonio's first Sears, Roebuck and Company store in its lowest 6 levels. The other completed building in the development is the former Plaza Hotel (also designed by Ayres & Ayres), which opened in 1927. The property became the local outlet of Hilton Hotels in 1956 and was converted into the Granada Apartments in 1966. Subsequent structures in the development were never built as a direct result of the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and the Great Depression. In the 1940s the building was renamed the Transit Tower for the San Antonio Transit Company, which the Smith Brothers purchased in 1943. In 1953 a television transmission tower was added to the structure. Renovations in 2010 removed the obsolete television mast in favor of the tower's original design, a copper tophouse with a 100 ft tall flagpole. The building is now named for its current owner, Tower Life Insurance Company. In 1991 the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Why choose Noey Design Concepts? Our priority is listening to clients and work with them to develop a design concept that is functional and represents their design aesthetic. We collaborate closely with clients to make sure the design is exactly what they are looking for. We work with architects, contractors and custom furniture makers who are the best of the best. We will find the best combination of rates, service, expedience and quality when selecting contractors, electricians, millworkers and any other vendor required for a project. Is there a particular area of interior design you specialize in? We focus mainly on high end residential interior design, whether it’s homes, lofts, duplexes, penthouses or virtually any other type of residential dwelling. Is there a particular geographic area you serve? We are located in San Antonio, Texas and most of the projects are in the Bexar county area; however, we are available for projects anywhere depending on the scope of work, budget, and timeline. How far will you travel? We will travel all distances to get to our clients. We understand how busy our clients are and want to accommodate them, near and far. We have designed homes in Los Angeles, the Carribean, and Europe, as well residences in the San Antonio metro area. Why do I need an Interior Designer if I already have an Architect? Architects and Interior Designers work differently. Most Architects work primarily with structure and building design. Interior Designers work with details of interiors including kitchen and bath design, custom cabinetry and built-ins, color schemes, flooring specifications, and wall and window treatments. Designers can create a master plan for the interior of your entire home or office, which can be implemented in stages, depending on the budget. The ideal design team consists of both an Architect and an Interior Designer in order to cover all aspects of your internal and external spaces. What services do you provide? Our services range from pre-construction detailing to complete interior design. We specialize in high end residential design. Some of our projects include space planning, lighting design, custom millwork and furniture design. We work with architects, contractors, electricians, installers, painters, etc. and can offer referrals when needed. Can you design any style? We have worked on projects ranging from clean/ contemporary to classic traditional. We are fully qualified to work with all types of styles and design concepts so that we can provide whatever our clients require. How does it work – working with an interior designer? Every project is different, but a client should always be able to openly collaborate with a designer to discuss preferences, budget and project scope. We will select furniture, paints, and fabrics, do drawings and get pricing in order to present them to you to choose from. Interior designers can also orchestrate the scope of a project with various sub-contractors if needed to ensure that every element is covered. What should I bring to the initial meeting? It’s helpful for clients to begin by looking at magazines like Elle Decor or Architectural Digest to get some design ideas and inspiration. Start by assembling items you love as well as things you would like to stay away from. Any additional ideas or questions you have collected, including an estimation of your budget, will make the initial consultation with your designer more efficient. Contact us today to get started!
