Franks restaurant has been established since 2001 in downtown Bozeman. Franks is known to the locals as one of the best places in Bozeman to grab a cheesesteak or a cold sandwich. In fact, in 2007 Franks claimed the best sandwich in Bozeman award! On May 20, 2011 Myself Aaron Parker, and long time friend Mike Triska took over ownership of Franks. As long time customers of Franks, we understand that Frank ( The original owner) wasn't the most friendly person. Frank really is a great guy, I think he just burnt himself out over the years, which unfortunatly turned away quite a few customers over time. Since we have taken over Franks we have added some great new menu items! Gourmet fresh ground steak burgers, pastas, salads, apps, and wood fired pizzas! We also have great beer and wine specials! Located just south of Main Street on 9th Avenue, the Bistro is easy to find - by day, by its distinctive orange Victorian facade, and by night, by its many windows aglow with the warmth and comfort of the space within. Seating at the Bistro is available both inside and (seasonally) outside. Inside the Bistro, seating on the main floor is open and upbeat, while seating on the second floor is a bit cozier and more intimate. The second floor also features a separate private dining area that can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. The Bistro's kitchen is under the direction of Chef Ryan Trenton. Our seasonal dinner menu is broad in scope, featuring dishes such as steak au poivre served with dauphinois potatoes and pan-seared wild Atlantic salmon with a lemon- caper beurre blanc and wild rice. The menu also offers vegetarian options such as ratatouille with polenta and sauteed haricots verts, and roasted butternut squash ravioli served with a sage marsala sauce and carrot-ginger mousseline. All of our menu items are scratch-made in-house, including our pasta, baked goods and desserts, with numerous gluten-free options. The Bistro also features a full selection of wines and beers. South 9th Bistro serves dinner five nights a week, Tuesday through Saturday, from 5pm. South 9th Bistro is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. Jam is a brunch concept featuring a variety of familiar breakfast options done in a unfamiliar way. Chicken and biscuit Benedict's, Elvis crepe, and cinnamon roll pancakes, are just a few examples of our breakfast side of the menu.
