At City Greens Market we believe nutritious food is an essential component of a happy and healthy life. Food is our body's fuel. People unite around food - sharing meals and memories with family, friends, and neighbors. Our community should have access to healthy, fresh, and affordable choices to fuel our bodies and minds. And we can make this happen! City Greens Market sells products from local Missouri and Illinois farmers. And it's all sold AT COST. How are we able to do so? With the support of our members! We need your support! Our non-profit organization is supported through memberships. Houesholds with higher incomes (over $30,000) pay an annual membership donation, while families with lower incomes (under $30,000) join as members without donating. Then everybody shops at the same prices - AT COST! Instead of marking up our products to make a profit, our paid members make the profit for us. PLEASE HELP US serve our neighbors by making healthy food accessible. City Greens Market is a local food OASIS smack-dab in the middle of a food DESERT. FOOD FOR ALL!

Clowder House Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Diane Hurwitz. A life-long cat lover, Diane had heard of other facilities throughout the country that offered lifetime care for cats and wondered who in St. Louis would take care of her cats if she needed it? And the idea for St. Louis’ only sanctuary for domestic felines was born. A “clowder” – a group or pack of cats – sounded like the perfect name for her facility. Diane worked tirelessly for many years securing a safe location, raising funds to build out the facility and finally putting all the wheels in motion to open the Clowder House doors. Clowder House Foundation, Inc. provides lifetime care for your cat or cats when you are no longer able to do so. We offer a tranquil setting with plenty of cat toys, furniture and sunny windows for your cat’s enjoyment. Music, human love and companionship will be a part of your cat’s everyday life. We are a no-kill, minimum-cage facility, and we make every effort to accommodate your cat’s special needs. We recognize each cat’s individuality and strive to make all our residents comfortable. Cages are used only for new residents until they become acclimated or for sick or injured cats. Clowder House also provides homes for abused, neglected and un-adoptable cats as space and funds allow. Rescued cats that can be socialized are available for adoption. Unlike most animal shelters, Clowder House is a volunteer-only organization. We take pride in the fact that all money raised and donated goes directly towards the care of our cats and upkeep of our facility.
SouthSide’s mission is to nurture, educate and inspire children and families in a diverse and inclusive environment, promoting healthy development and a strong foundation for success. Our vision is that children develop a lifelong love of learning, flourish within a supportive family environment and contribute positively to their communities. SouthSide provides a nurturing, educational and individualized early education program for children from six weeks old to pre-kindergarten (age five). With three age groupings guided by the same philosophy and curriculum, we can provide continuous care in an accredited center from infancy to preschool graduation. Children may enter the program at any age, depending on availability. Center hours are from 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., year round (we are closed for 10 holidays per year). At SouthSide, families – however that is defined for our children – are our partners in their education, social development and healthy growth. We strongly encourage family participation in Center activities, classroom volunteering, special events and field trips. Family members are welcome to visit the Center at any time. We have four structured meetings with each family during the year: fall home visit, late fall family-teacher conference, spring home visit and late spring family-teacher conference.

Family P.R.I.D.E. (Parental Resources, Infant Development and Environment), Midtown's outreach to pregnant moms and parents of newborns and toddlers is 15 years old in 2008. The program was designed to provide support and resources to new parents and families where healthy births were a concern. Since its beginnings many healthy babies have been born. In 2008, Midtown was established as a "Pregnancy Resource Center" allowing a focus on pregnant moms, especially adolescents. A library of books for moms and kids was established. Also, a monthly store is available to participants where they may receive diapers, developmental toys and books, bus tickets, children's clothing or other needed items. Cornerstone endeavors to prepare students for a lifetime of positive social interaction and learning. We believe that children learn best from active involvement with all aspects of the world. From their earliest days at Cornerstone, students explore the beginnings of reading, writing, math, art and science as they play in water, pound on playdough, draw and paint, sing and dance, or cook and bake. Through "hands on/minds on" learning, they build the early foundations of autonomous behavior, taking responsibility for their learning, and accepting the natural consequences of their decisions.
