Detention is the newest addition in what seems to be a revival of Gold Coast nightlife. Division Street is one of Chicago’s most legendary and well-known areas in the heart of the Gold Coast neighborhood. The strip is a place notorious for its crowded streets & wild late night venues catering to anybody and everybody. What the strip hasn’t seen is a venue taking the party bar concept that Division Street is so familiar with, changing it up and adding in the coveted high-end night club experience. Detention is a new concept replacing the old Bar Chicago space at 9 W Division St. and is themed around high school detention. Detention will offer incredible music every night (including resident DJs Skyler Mendoza, Trentino, and Rock City), a beautiful staff dressed in provocative school girl uniforms and private elevated VIP areas with premium bottle service.

On the weekends, brunch offers the perfect mix of sweet and savory from Banana’s Foster French Toast to Crab Cake Benedict, perfectly paired with one of our signature morning cocktails.
After years of searching far and wide for a location to follow up the highly successful Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse, owners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo found what they were looking for right under their noses. In February of 1997 they took the space directly next door and launched what has become the finest seafood restaurant in the city, Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House. Contrary to popular belief the name is not taken from the signature dish comprised of froggy lower halves. "Frog" was the nickname Hugo Ralli called his Grandfather, General Bruce Hay of Her Majesty's Imperial Forces. His portrait keeps watch over the bar bustling with local nightlife and live blues entertainment. In September of 2004 Hugo's made the leap to downtown Naperville and has brought the same quality, value, and hospitality to that venture as well. It has fast become the favorite restaurant of Naperville residents as well as the surrounding communities.
We keep the fun in food while pulling from the experiences of farm fresh agriculture, live stock, and old recipes with a twist. Hash House A Go Go serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

The Prohibition era, of course, has a particularly special place in Chicago's history. It is from this time that Al Capone, America's "Best known gangster," came to become one of the most recognized symbols of the sense of lawlessness stimulated by prohibition in Chicago. The uneasy relationship between gangsters and the public trying to get what they were denied by government helped define the city during this time. These underground heroes were referred to as "Hopsmiths" known as experts during this time producing the finest beer for locals to enjoy in secret safe-havens throughout Chicago. In honor of the Hopsmith who perfected this tradition serving a fundamental need during Prohibition, The Big Onion Tavern Group would like to announce the opening of their newest location; Hopsmith Tavern, located at 15 W. Division in the heart of the Goldcoast.
Celebrate "the place that started it all”… The Lodge Tavern, a veritable Chicago landmark. At the heart of Chicago bars and nightlife, The Lodge opened its doors in 1957 – before the birth of the singles bar, the disco, or theme bars – and we haven’t changed much over the intervening decades. A concerted effort to maintain the original ambiance is firmly in place. Out-of-towners and regulars alike are always pleased to find the venue as cozy as home with a familiar and friendly staff. Steeped in fellowship and laughter, The Lodge is a quintessential adult’s playground with 60+ years of rich character soaked into our walls and peanut shells on the floor. Truly, the perfect place for a drink.

That initial eatery soon blossomed and grew to become an iconic family of Chicagoland restaurants. While each restaurant offers a unique feel, all retain the warmth of an Italian kitchen, making you feel right at home. With their authentic Italian cuisine, impressive selections of wines, and rich local history, Rosebud Restaurants offer more than just a meal, they offer a dining experience.
