Historically, juke joints originated on plantations and in the rural outskirts of many southern towns to give African American communities a place to kick back and relax after a long week of work. Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint will represent a diverse culture, featuring music across all genres and popular hits throughout American history. An imaginative menu makes Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint a staple on Atlanta’s downtown restaurant scene and the low-down allure of traditional juke joints will be showcased in the restaurant’s intimate design. Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint opened in February 2011 and offers a new experience of dining and entertainment to downtown Atlanta.
Focus is on using Market Fresh, Farm-To-Table Sustainable Food.
We have a 5 course meal, starting with appetizers. Then comes Act One, and after Act One is completed, soup is served. Act Two performed, then salads are served. Act Three performed, entrees are served (there are 6 choices of entrees, two chicken, two fish, one steak, and vegetarian of course, preparations change for each show). After Act 4 (the final act) dessert is served.
