The Regional Arts Commission leads, strengthens and gives voice to a creative community where every citizen can be proud to live, work and play in a world-class region. In short, we are proud of our St. Louis cultural identity and want to do whatever we can to grow, sustain and promote that identity in the future. We are at the forefront of helping transform St. Louis into a more vibrant, creative and economically thriving community through the arts – and want everyone to know just how special the creative community is within the region. Our organization was founded in 1985 to promote, encourage and foster the arts and cultural institutions in St. Louis City and County, and to contribute to the economic development of the area through a strong presence of the arts. RAC is a leader in providing innovation, access and creative solutions to economic and community development. We advocate respect, inclusion and appreciation of the diverse cultures of all individuals, and are always striving to achieve creative methods of community growth.

Programming takes place year-round at our new location at 5959 Delmar Blvd. in the Loop East. The largest portion of the 200+ youth we serve each year are apprentices in ArtWorks’ Summer Program. Since 1995, youth apprentices in the Summer Program have been hired through a competitive application process in which artistic talent and personal motivation are employment criteria. Past apprentices who successfully finish the summer program by showing leadership, talent, and interest are invited to continue working in the fall and spring programs.
What we do is really quite simple. We find the good things that the world makes available and we, in turn, make them available to you. We welcome you into a place of comfort, charm and style and we look after you with genuine hospitality. It’s a simple recipe, really, and one that brings smiles to faces. It’s a recipe whose ingredients are curiosity, appreciation, generosity and style. In stirring these wonderful things together every day we find something we look forward to sharing with you. Please also join us for dinner at Pomme Restaurant in downtown Clayton, open Tuesday through Saturday. The dining rooms (two down and one up a short flight of stairs) say: “…come and stay a while…”. And why not? With food this good it’s not hard to stay and eat your heart out.” Become a Fan of the Tenderloin Room and get updates on entertainment and specials! Our classic Pepperloin a la Tenderloin is seared to mouthwatering perfection with our famous sauce. For the adventurous diner with a large appetite we proudly present our Cowboy Ribeye, sure to satisfy like no other. Remember, steak remains the specialty, but entrees such as rack of lamb, stuffed filet, and veal chops offer spectacular alternatives to the signature beef.
