"A vista into a world of wondrous ideas, signifying Man's achievement. A step into the future, with predictions of constructed things to come. Tomorrow offers new frontiers in science, adventure and ideals. The Atomic Age, the challenge of Outer Space and the hope for a peaceful, unified world." —Walter E. Disney, July 17, 1955 The TOMORROWLAND area is a unique community where humans, aliens, and robots co-exist with one another. It is a futuristic-looking city that exists more on the edge of science fiction than science fact. The land-docked space hub is where intrepid galaxy travelers can embark on cosmic adventures, dine on interplanetary cuisine, shop at out-of-this-world boutiques, or explore such emerging technologies as time travel or teleportation. It is a land fueled by dreams of a better tomorrow as seen through the prism of yesterday. This Facebook page is in no way part of The Walt Disney Company. Some parts Copyright © The Walt Disney Co. Disney University is the global training program for Disney employees, also known as Cast Members.Disney Cast Members receive a range of opportunities including Disney heritage and traditions, personal and professional development, and on the job training. Although Disney University is not an accredited institution, courses are primarily designed, developed and delivered by experienced learning professionals. However, in order to enroll, you need to be enrolled in an accredited college that will allow you to take classes and work at Disney. Most colleges allowing it have internships available and give college credit to do the internship while taking Disney classes. Disney University has traditionally provided learning instructor-led classroom sessions, but has expanded delivery methods to accommodate Disney's diverse and growing audience in recent years through the latest technologies and learning methods .Disney University is also the name of the training locations where Disney Cast Members attend classroom sessions. Buildings are located at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida, Disneyland's Team Disney Anaheim, near Disneyland Paris and Burbank's Team Disney Headquarters. The Walt Disney World building is located behind the Magic Kingdom, across from the Cast Member parking lot. It is also where newly hired Cast Members, Disney College Program student interns, and Walt Disney World International Program participants attend employee orientation, known as "Disney Traditions".
The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure is a dark ride attraction based on the 1989 Disney animated film The Little Mermaid, located in Paradise Pier at Disney California Adventure and in Fantasyland at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, where it is titled Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid . The ride opened on June 3, 2011 at Disney California Adventure, and on December 6, 2012 at Magic Kingdom.HistoryIn the early-to-mid-1990s, Walt Disney Imagineering attempted to develop a Little Mermaid dark ride for Disneyland Paris and Magic Kingdom parks. Early plans for Tokyo DisneySea and Hong Kong Disneyland also included this ride. None of these versions were actually built, although a computer-generated ride-through animatic was included on the Platinum Edition DVD of The Little Mermaid in 2006.Disney later went on to design and build a different version of the attraction for Disney California Adventure, as part of an effort to revitalize that park in the 2000s. The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure opened on June 3, 2011 in an area of Paradise Pier formerly occupied by Golden Dreams.
