The Fashion Class is a creative environment for children as young as 5, teens up to 17 and adults of all ages to learn the fun of designing and sewing their own clothing. In 2009 The Fashion Class founder Kerri Q. began teaching an after-school fashion program offered to private New York city schools. After a popular first year and even more popular second (with new schools added to our list each term) The Fashion Class was officially born (2010) and began offering classes outside of schools so that any child in the NYC area could learn to sew and design. In 2014 our second full time studio in Merrick NY opened for the fashionistas of Long Island. We now offer classes in Manhattan, Long Island and Brooklyn for children and teenagers ages 6 through 18 years. Our locations cover midtown and the garment center (21 W 39th St), the Upper East Side (1412 2nd Ave), Merrick Long Island (1812 Merrick Road) and Carroll Gardens Brooklyn (128 Union St). Our classes include fashion drawing, art + design, craft making, accessory design, sewing and fashion design. All supplies are included in our fee and all students keep their creations. Our sessions end with a fashion show (on our exclusive light up runway) where our students model and showcase the clothing, accessories, and artwork they’ve created throughout the semester! We offer class options 7 days per week in the Fall, Winter and Spring. Summer is dedicated to our full day 2-week summer fashion camp program where students sew, design, and visit real fashion design showrooms. We've visited Austin Scarlett from Project Runway, Marchesa, Alice + Olivia, Anne Klein, Marie Claire Magazine, and so much more! We also offer one day through week long fashion camps over school break holidays such as Columbus Day, Presidents Day, winter break, and Spring Break school holidays. Finally our Fashion Design Birthday parties are an absolute blast. Located in Midtown Manhattan and Merrick NY, we can sew and decorate a bag or skirt, decorate t-shirt, and even put on a full fashion show complete with hair, makeup and clothing styling!

Top Model Latina is a modeling contest committed to the discovery and development of talented young Latina women with supermodel potential, while promoting a healthy and responsible model lifestyle. This year, the Top Model Latina Show returns to New York City for its third annual fashion show gala, and every aspect of the show is eye-catching, ethereal, and explosive. The show will feature three different segments, Top Model Latina's new bathing suit line, and sixty different runway looks, honoring Jennifer Lopez as a Top Latina Fashion Icon. Top Model Latina 2016 will have twenty models representing Latin American countries such as Argentina, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Uruguay and Cuba who will compete for the Top Model Latina 2016 title and mark their territory in the fashion industry. The leading modeling contest will feature a judging panel of celebrities, supermodels, and artists, including chart-toppers whom will soon be revealed, belting out their biggest hits as the Top Models strut the runway. Past winners from 2014 and 2015, Puerto Rican model Veronica Montano, and Colombian model Angelica Duque have gone on to work with prestigious names such as Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Vogue, Garnier, Dior, Adidas, Roberto Cavalli, Carolina Herrera, and much more. He is certified as a Protection Professional—CPP—in Security Management by the ASIS International Professional Certification Board and a member of ASIS International. As a New York City Fire Safety Director—FSD—and Emergency Action Plan Director—EAPD—Mr. Polanco combines his security and fire safety management experience, from both academia and the built environment, to develop and administer compelling, comprehensive and incomparable fire safety consulting programs. He is a NYS Certified Security Instructor, an American Red Cross Certified CPR/AED Instructor and defensive driving instructor who has authored and published numerous articles on security and fire safety in the built environment in Security Director and Security Director News magazines Mr. Polanco's opinions have been published in the New York Daily News and The Wall Street Journal. His active professional memberships include ASIS International, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) where he is a member of the Building Fire Safety Systems Section, the Fire Safety Directors Association of Greater New York (FSDA), NYPD Shield, John Jay College Alumni Association and the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA). He is a Notary Public Officer of the State of New York.
